This Worked!!!!!!
Disclaimer: I am NOT a doctor of Veterinarian medicine or a technician who works for a Veterinarian. I have limited medical training - humans only. This is aHowever, I have a 20 year old senior cat that I took in when she was just 9 years old. She was a mess. I nursed her back to health and she has thrived ever since. But over the last 4 weeks or so, I noticed a change in her litter habits. In particular #2. Her #1 habits are the same and fine. She became constipated. She wasn't making #2 as frequently and then if she did, the stools (barely anything) were hard and very dark. She was vocalizing in the litter box. Not good. She would leave the box because she couldn't go. As humans, we may know how this feels and it feels awful.I went online looking for a holistic homeopathic remedy and found this product. It arrived at lunch time in the mail. I followed the instructions and administered the first dose. I did a second dose at dinner time, around 6PM. I put it in her favorite soft wet food and she ate normally. Two hours later, she was in the litter box, going normally, leaving a large amount of #2 that had the perfect consistency and color. (You can tell by looking). She did not vocalize, she went immediately. This product is expensive for many of us, myself included. However, let me say this, I spent the $ gladly because that is part of being a responsible pet owner. I personally subscribe to holistic methods and use a litany of homeopathic products myself.I just wanted to share that I had success with this product and I am thrilled. My cat is too! I can only imagine how much better she feels.Thank you for taking the time to read this. Our pets are like family.

Life saver!
My poor kitty has been suffering through constipation for months now. She ended up having to have an enema and be put onto a high fiber, prescription diet. While the fiber got her body to start moving, the poop coming out was still so hard and dark, so I started giving her miralax(the prescription recommended was so expensive and also didn’t do a thing.) unfortunately, it didn’t seem to work, she was only pooping little tiny pieces every day.So, I looked around and ended up finding this. It had so many popular reviews. It is a bit pricy.. I was concerned about spending so much and getting no results. But I didn’t want my poor prissy to suffer any longer. So, I bought it.Absolutely my best decision.I will say, this is not a cure all. If your cat has not pooped in days— or worse, WEEKS, this will not help, they need medical attention. However, If your cat is just fighting constipation as a chronic thing, and they don’t need professional help; or the prescription you have didn’t help, this might be for you!Prissys only been on it for a few days, but it’s already given an amazing affect. She pooped more today in one go than I’ve seen her do in a long time. And best part is she didn’t strain, and the poop wasn’t hard or dry, it was as if she didn’t have constipation in the first place. It’s such a relief to see her feeling better.I highly recommend this as a an option, however please do consult with your vet for other options first, just in case the cause of the constipation is something serious. While this isn’t a cure al, and it may not work for every animal, I would absolutely recommend you give it a try.

Works if you can get it into your pet
This product works really well to help get things moving. I have to deduct a star however because my cat absolutely hates the taste. I can’t hide it in food or she won’t eat, so I’m chasing her around with the eyedropper which is a terrible eyedropper design.

This really helped my cat and my Vet approved of this product
I rescued a little orange feral tabby named Charley, and he’s FIV-positive. For a while, he struggled badly with constipation, and even after the vet tried enemas and medication, nothing seemed to help. After purchasing this product, it took a few weeks to see a difference—but once it kicked in, the change was dramatic. I now add five drops to his food twice a day, and Charley reliably goes every day.Our vet reviewed the ingredients and immediately agreed it made sense—“fiber, fiber, fiber”—and recommended that we keep using it. As a bonus, Charley has become noticeably more comfortable with us; he now lets us pet him and groom him. It honestly feels like two miracles in one.

Not sure if for cats
I posted a review not recommending this product and they were very helpful in providing tips for this product. I'm still not sure I would recommend for cats since they are very finicky. Here are the tips they provided:I have a few tips I hope you find helpful for dosing. We usually suggest adding it to your pet's food, if they are eating, as this is the easiest way to administer it. Also, giving the supplement with food can help to minimize the possibility of GI upset when starting a new herbal product. If your pet is not eating, you could add it to a small amount of water or broth (an amount they will consume in one sitting). If you have to, you can administer directly to the mouth, but if you're going to do it that way, we would suggest measuring the dose into a separate syringe and mixing with some food or water before giving it to your pet. This makes it more palatable, and can avoid contaminating the product. One tip I could pass on is to ensure that you are keeping the product in the fridge. I found the cooler temperatures helped with masking the smell a bit, as animals can be picky on how their food smells. Another tip would be to gradually introduce the supplement so they get used to the taste.

Tragic Waste of Money
My cat has been battling constipation for quite a long time and I tried natural pumpkin (which she ate an entire can of over a few days) before I purchased Smooth BM Gold. I had high hopes for the medicine and she wasn't even suspicious of her wet food (which I always dilute with water, so the medication was easy to add). She ate it and had no issues (other than the fact she was still constipated). When she did have a BM, it was like concrete, which was the problem in the first place. I continued the medicine for a full two weeks, and I even increased her dose. I felt that was more than enough time for it to work if it was going to. It did nothing. I finally got her a vet consult and I did more extensive research that resulted in opting for Miralex. (Yes, the kind people take.) Based on her weight, I gave her 1/4 t. of Miralex in her wet watered-down food once a day, and after just two treatments of Miralex, success! She has now been taking Miralex and has been having healthy BMs ever since. **Note: My cat is elderly and diabetic (she's on insulin), so I don't know if those details factor into the ineffectiveness of this product, or if it's just a sham. She's a picky eater but readily ate her food with BM Gold in it. I've seen reviews where cats have foamed at the mouth after eating the medicine and that did NOT happen to my cat. It simply did nothing to help her bowels and that's frustrating. Had it worked, I'd have been a customer for life. Miralex is a much more cost-effective solution that has saved my cat's life.

Works fast!
My 21 year old maine coon cat tore her acl and ended up not being able to poop for 2 days. She was moving way less and probably not drinking as much water as usual. She was also on pain medications so all of that combined is probably what led to her constipation. I could tell she was uncomfortable just by how she was positioning herself and not eating as much. I gave her 3 small drops of this with her dinner (she is only 6 lbs) and she had a bm that same night! I still continued to give it to her as directed for the next couple days and she continued to have good bms and looked way more comfortable/got her full appetite back. It’s pricey but it works! I’ll continue to use it as needed.

This stuff is worth it's weight in gold!
I've had my kitty Blackie for about 5 years and in that time he would have periodic episodes of vomiting and abdominal cramps which ended after he pooped but took anywhere between one and four hours. The vomiting threw me off so I didn't realize it was caused from constipation. The vet obviously couldn't figure it out either because the meds he gave us didn't work at all. The last episode he had he became compacted with poo. He wouldn't eat or drink for days. By the time I was able to get him to a vet they had to put him to sleep to get all the poo out. This vet gave me a huge bottle of laxatives that I was supposed to give him every 8 hours. I didn't like the idea of laxatives because I know they can become addictive and the amount I had to give him was ridiculous. So I did a search for a natural remedy for constipation in cats and found this. I've been giving him .25 mls (5 drops) twice a day for a week and so far he's pooping like a champ. He was already showing signs of constipation just a day or two after returning from the vet but since the Smooth BM they are completely gone. This stuff is amazing and so much less traumatic for him than what the vet gave me. I can't say he's a fan of the taste but I just give him a few treats after his dose and he's good. I'm thrilled to have found this wonderful product.

A great help with my 22 year old cat's constipation
Been using this for my 22 year old cat now for about 18 months. She used to be badly constipated and only did nuggets of pooh about size of a baked bean and rock hard. Now she does good finger size poohs, still hard but not as hard as before.Looses 1 star as the bottle can be leaky as when shook the liquid gathers inside lid which drips out when unscrewed.

Took approximately 2 weeks, but it worked!
My little guy was very constipated, but I didn’t realize how constipated he was until I heard him cry out in his litter box. His vet recommended pumpkin, however that was not working. The vet then recommended laxatives, but I wanted to try something natural. I did some extensive research online, and BM Gold kept popping up, and the reviews were excellent. I placed an order, and it arrived within a day or two.Unfortunately I did not see results right away, but within 2 weeks my little guy was back to normal. He hated the product, so I had to force feed. I mixed it with a little bit of pumpkin and fed it to him using a syringe twice a day. I also fed him plain natural yogurt twice a day, and 2 weeks later my baby was healed. I now give it to him once a day because it also helped his vomiting. I definitely recommend this product. Compared to vet bills and the cost of laxatives, $50 is a small price to pay for your best friend’s health. Thank you God, and thank you BM Gold!
