Had CDN chondrodermatitis nodulais. Painful ear nodule from side sleeping. Tried this inexpensive pillow with a hole. I was very surprised, it worked perfectly. Very comfortable for me. Ear healed. Use it nightly for back or side sleep. Take it on all trips. Gives any hotel pillows reliable comfort and support. Weighs next to nothing in luggage. Was not useful for me on a plane so I pack it. Worth a try at this price. Simple and adjustable. Nothing fancy but I love it.

I have suffered from CNH for several months. My dermatologist prescribed a cream to apply to my ear twice a day but warned the condition would not go away unless I changed my sleeping position. The cream helped a little but I still woke up in pain every morning. For physical reasons I can only sleep on my left side which basically causes a bed sore on my left ear. It took a couple nights to find the perfect pillow height and positioning but by the 3rd night I slept soundly with no pain! Within a couple more days the cream had completely healed the sore spot on my ear! I can now fall asleep within minutes instead of constantly repositioning my head to get closer. I have a large head and pretty big ears. The hole still fits my ear fine. Other reviews complained about the hole not being big enough. I assume they have multiple piercings or some other issue. This pillow is amazing!!! Note: it arrives by USPS mail in a thin plastic bag. Not protected at all. My bag and pillow had been slashed by something and the pillow has a 3” gash along a seam. Doesn’t hurt the cushioning at all.

It works as advertised but the pillow is very very firm. Not soft at all but it does allow your piercings to heal. But sleeping on this pillow is not comfortable.

Also, the size is just right—it’s not bulky like regular pillows and adapts really well without feeling awkward. What I really appreciate is that I didn’t have to “get used to it.” It just worked. I lie down, rest my head, and my ear stays free without discomfort. I’ve been sleeping better and waking up without that sore or sensitive feeling. I highly recommend it if you’re a side sleeper dealing with piercings, inflammation, or general ear sensitivity. Sometimes a simple design change makes all the difference.

I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated their openness to feedback. * I'm kinda surprised this was the best seller at the time I bought it honestly. It technically works I guess, but it's really not good in allot of ways, and I don't think it's worth more than $5 despite me having payed over $10 for it. It's too firm and the height is too low to comfortablly use by itself, but too high to use on top a normal pillow. The shape and size really isn't ergonomic for me either because when I try to use it as is and put the edge on top my shoulder, the center hole doesn't line up with my ear and is set slightly above it. Either I have a really short neck or this was made for tall people with long necks. I've had to remove some of the filling from where my shoulder would go to shorten the distance between the outer edge and the center hole for me to be able to use it as intended, so now it's kind of shaped like a rounded capital "A". It still kinks my neck uncomfortably a bit either way though. It's probably better than nothing, but not by much. Especially for over $15.

Worked well for new ear piercings. I am a side sleeper and this took the pressure off having to worry about my ears. It wasn’t too thick that it caused my neck to be at an odd angle. Was comfortable enough to sleep on and definitely helped while my ears healed.

I have been working on my ear piercings gradually. Every week I get a new one. This pillow is the best to help you sleep comfortably during the healing process. It’s small but what I do is put it on top of my regular pillow. It’s nice and firm the way I like it but you can make it less firmer if that’s what you want. It stays cool. It’s made with good breathable cotton fabric. And I love the design I got. It’s pretty.

It’s cute, feels high quality, and is comfortable. I definitely needed this after getting my helix pierced and it not healing for months. It has definitely helped reduce my piercing bumps. I will say that if you have big ears and multiple healing piercings on one ear, this pillow may not have a big enough hole to accommodate your ear. I have a couple healing lobes that sometimes get caught on the pillow but this may just be me. I don’t keloid so I don’t mind and it’s definitely worth it overall.

Too firm to use on top of another pillow, too soft to use it on its own. And mine doesn't have a zipper like advertised, must be a quality control issue. First time I'm going against so many positive reviews, sad.

For no particular reason my ears started hurting when I was in bed with my head on a pillow. I’m a side sleeper and couldn’t make the transition to sleeping on my back. I didn’t even know these existed so was pleasantly surprised to find them when I searched. I’ve been sleeping comfortably since I got this. I just put it on top of my pillow and there is no pressure on my ear.
