would the 1 inch be good for a fine medium pixie length cut?

My wife says: her hair is fine and thinning , about 3 inches long. It works fine for her.

What is the best size for very fine thinning chin length hair?

Suggest 1 1/4inch size is better.

Are the brisles hard or normal to soft?

The boar bristles are normal. The center nylon bristle inside each clump of boar bristles is somewhat stiffer, but not uncomfortable (and I have a sensitive scalp). Mostly I liked the brush except the handle was uncomfortably slender in my grip...and I have small hands.

I do not know what type bristles they are for sure, but I can tell you the bristles were all over the sink having fallen out the first time I tried to use the brush. I absolutely do not recommend this brush!
