WORKS FINE. SPEED COULD AND SHOULD BE BETTER. BUT U NEVER GET TEH SPEED THE SELLER TELLS U WILL GET. ON TRANSFER OF FILE I GET ABOUT 15 TO 18 MEGS SECOND.

My go to thumb drive. It's a stout USB. Has body to it that shows quality constant is a great USB for my needs.

I decided to download my entire Facebook account and severely underestimated just how much digital nonsense I have accumulated over the years. 😂 I didn't realize how huge the download would be until my cloud storage basically looked at me and said, “Absolutely not. You need more space.” So I bought this Kingston DataTraveler Exodia 256GB to store my Facebook download, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. It used almost all of the storage, which I would like to blame on Facebook, but let's be honest, it's probably my fault for being so wordy. 😂 I was so happy with it that I immediately bought more for my pictures and other files so I could start clearing out my cloud storage. They're small, cute, and color coded, which makes it much easier to remember what I've put on each one. I also love that there's enough space to add a little label. It's also really fast and for the price, you can't beat it. Overall, I'm very pleased. It holds a ton, works like it should, doesn't take up much space, and has already saved me from having to pay for more cloud storage. Apparently, my solution to having too many files is to buy more places to put them. Seems perfectly logical to me!

I got one of the 256Gs to make a usb boot drive. For that it worked perfectly, I was able to fix this PC with youtube videos and a few downloads after a hard drive crash booting direct from the USB. Then I got one for photos and things, but wanted to test it's read write in a real world stress test. I downloaded 108.5Gbs over ethernet (GTAV from steam), it took roughly a day and a half to download. It's write takes a while. I was surprised it ran at all but I did play half the first mission until it struggled with rendering distant objects. No lag or pop in, just weird blocks in the distance. Amazed it ran at all. I am now moving the local files to a 2TB seagate and it's about 25% transferred after an hour. The download graph looked like a sawtooth, like it was getting a bunch of data but taking a moment to process it so there is defiantly a write bottle neck. For audio, photos, pdfs, and all those small files that add up fast this is fine, but if you transfer large data a lot it's slow. I knocked a star off for the write speed, but it's not bad to have horribly slow Tx for the price. If the it's my PC and the new seagate has the same issues I'll update. Update: Didn't have the driver installed for my video card, the Seagate did the same thing until I installed them so there is a chance I could have run GTA using this if the driver was installed. The write time was still crazy. It only took about 2 hours to move the 108Gs from this drive to the Seagate so it also may have been comcast throttling my download speeds. For the price you can't go wrong with this for backup though.

Advertised write speed is off by more than a factor of TEN! That's on top of the drive locking up and not allowing me to finish writing or deleting the portion of my files that had written to the drive before it crashed. After it locked up I did a full format to factory settings and then it worked again. But the format took a full 10 hours and write speeds were still less than a few hundred Kb/s after the reformat. That's correct, never above 200 Kb/s when stated write speed is up to 625 Mb/s!! I bought three flash drives from three different manufacturers because I wanted to remove about 140 Gb of important stuff from my computer. Each drive was 256 Gb, USB 3.2. I copied the exact same folders to each flash drive using the same USB port. One drive did the copy in an hour, one in less than 3 hours, and the Kingston took well over 24 hours. My computer did not ever sleep or shut down during the write.
