This ice cream play set is absolutely adorable! My kids have been playing with it nonstop. The bright colors, cute accessories, and realistic ice cream pieces make it so much fun for imaginative play. They love pretending to run their own little ice cream shop and serving everyone different "flavors." The pieces are the perfect size for little hands, and everything seems well made and durable. It's been a huge hit in our play kitchen and keeps them entertained for hours. If you're looking for a fun, high-quality pretend play toy, this is definitely one I'd recommend. We’ve only had this for 2 days, but my 2 year old son is obsessed with this toy. He loves ice cream in general, so I originally wanted to get him the popular Leapfrog ice cream cart (super cute but kind of bulky and I don’t have that much room for storage) or the Melissa & Doug set (love the look and simplicity, but not a lot of pieces for the price )....but honestly both are a little pricey in my opinion, especially when kids go thru toys like crazy. I get lot of wood toys that are more expensive, but couldn’t get myself to spend $30-40 for some plastic ice cream. This set tho is priced perfect, and had great reviews!! I still had my doubts on how much he will play with it bc it’s not a very elaborate toy....but we opened it early evening, and he literally played for hours (on and off between playing on his own and pretend- playing with us) until bedtime. Then again the next day. Such a great toy, at a great price point! PROS: - great price point - lots of pieces without being overwhelming - hold child’s attention for a long time - ice cream scoop is easy to use - does not take up space (I like to keep toys like these in a ziplock to keep the pieces together and separate from other similar toys. It also allows my son to see what’s inside and ask to play with it...instead of just tossing it all over the place). CONS: - the ice cream scooper is a little hard to release, but that’s normal for a 2 year old. he can still easily “scoop” and to release, can just gently pull it off to unscoop since he’s not strong enough/have the fine motor skill quite yet to squeeze the release lever. It wasn’t hard for him to use or figure out, and did not get frustrated. - the ice cream sometimes fall off, but I think it’s bc they don’t want to make it so tight that the child cannnot easily scoop and unscoop. All in all, definitely worth it. Very minor CONs (which aren’t really CONS honestly). If your kid likes ice cream/ pretend play. This will be a great toy/ gift. And doesn’t hurt the wallet once they’re “over it”.

If you’re toddlers allowed to play with ice cream, this is definitely the toy to get. Very durable easy to store has a very great educational use. Functions great no missing pieces. easy to clean great quality great value great educational value great color.

UPDATE: 2 YEARS later, and it has held up to EVERYDAY play. Kids love it. Highly recommend!!! Original review: Good value and decent quality for plastic play food. A cute set, better than dollar store quality. I like the details on this set, and the ice cream scoop actually picks up and releases the ice cream tops. However, I can anticipate some parts will break if kids play too rough with it (i.e. pressing or pulling hard on the ice cream scoop handle, opening/twisting the syrup bottle caps too strongly, stepping on the sundae bowl...). Overall, happy with this cute ice cream play set.

Absolutely great purchase! such great quality, and my daughter loves them. She's used them for a year now and they are still in great condition. She has used in and out of water (would not have been my choice, but grandparents allowed) and quality has not decreased!! Drying/cleaning is easy! It's so cute and the pieces are sturdy. The only "con" but isn't really a "con" and is more of a learning curve would be younger kiddos may have difficulty connecting pieces together well. It took my daughter some time to learn-and even now a year later she still struggles sometimes. But you definitely WANT this set over more expensive ones!!

I ordered this for my daughter’s color me ice cream truck I got from Target, it is absolutely perfect. She’s very into pretend play, and the detail and thought that went into these is amazing. The syrup tops open, the sprinkles shake, and the ice cream scooper is magnetic

This was a present for a 3 year old who enjoys imaginative play activities. They already had a play kitchen, pots, pans, fruits and vegetables so we wanted to buy something different to add to these toys and settled on this set and the battat coffee set. Both have been great hits with the child and their friends. I specifically wanted a set from a brand that I recognised and I felt happier purchasing Battat than other sets on here as I've also bought this brand before from TK maxx. The set has lots of parts to combine in different ways and take apart but not so much that it you have too much stuff. It seems good quality and shows no sign of wear after a few months of regular use. The design is unisex and the price is good for gifting so I'd really recommend it if you're looking for something for a preschool child.
