Grew up mixing it in milk instead of chocolate. Love the distinct flavor! Rich in Calcium, Iron, Potassium, Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese and Copper.

Great value and great quality.
Very high quality molasses. I'll use it in brewing beers, recipes, and have already used it for water kefir. Nice texture, smell and a little pungent on taste which is normal and to be expected. Excellent value for the size of the container and supposedly this stuff is healthy, but I'm using it for mineral content and flavors.

Blackstrap Molasses
I make my own granola, & use this molasses in it. I enjoy the taste & it's healthier for me than other sweeteners. I will continue to use it for every batch of granola, which I make the minute the prior batch runs out.

Disclosure
It is a great product except that I wish they would have posted the warning of lead and acrylamide content on the listing so at least that would give consumer an option not to buy if a buyer is concerned with the chemicals it might have as mentioned above. This is especially important if you are buying online. The bitter taste which some reviewers complain about is natural to the product. In my opinion it is better to use just plain molasses for baking because it is sweeter but for nutrition purposes the blackstrap molasses is better because it is higher in nutrients.Acrylamide is a chemical that can form in some foods during high-temperature cooking processes, such as frying, roasting, and baking. Acrylamide in food forms from sugars and an amino acid that are naturally present in food; it does not come from food packaging or the environment.

Great product
I'm trying this way to sweeten oatmeal and I like the flavor. Clearly this is healthy because it offers more than merely a way to sweeten my oatmeal. It's loaded with minerals that are healthy.

DO NOT BUY
this product arrived in a mangled, beat up box that was falling apart. When I opened it, it was a sticky disgusting mess. The molasses had leaked everywhere in the box. There was no salvaging anything. It had to go straight in the trash. It also took a long time to get here. I waited all that time for nothing. Very disappointed.

YUCK! but great for symptomatic iron deficiency anemia and low K+
I actually got this to help with Aunt Flo. However It's been heaven-sent. Let's just say I have severe iron deficiency I was actually symptomatic. My activity tolerance, for a young person like me, is worse than my older patients with congestive heart failure (and I feel sorry for them). At first I thought I was orthostatic but that wasn't the case. I'm weak, fatigued, get dizzy, I black out and I have other rare embarrassing effects of low iron I won't name. But the fatigue and weakness has been severe I can barely work. I was definitely not doing iron infusions. I don't care for iron pills as I'm terrible with taking pills. There's been a huge misdiagnoses here and there due to symptoms mimicking other things.I took this right after Aunt Flo visited and I was so fatigued and weak, blacking out with position changes my activity tolerance was in the toilets. Long story short, I have my energy back. I have noticed marked improvement taking these. This has 25% iron. For every medication, my first question is "what is the bioavailability?" I don't know for this but I can guess it's very high. I saw huge improvement after a week and I've gone back to work the last 2 weeks. The kind of energy one gets after getting a transfusion.I've needed potassium due to another condition and I take roughly 1-3 pills a day depending on how symptomatic I get. sometimes bananas and the rest doesn't cut it. I have stopped taking the potassium pills since staring this. I'm not symptomatic. This has 9%, better than the pills. And overall, it seems the body absorbs this better.Only thing with this is the taste. I'm not sure how people write "yum". This reminds me of marmite in the UK which i despised as a child. Not as bad as marmite - this is a bit runny. I've tried oatmeal as a reviewer suggested and it's ok but i can't eat oatmeal daily. lately, I just take a scoop, close my eyes, make a face and suck it up. If you have better ways to consume this, please leave a comment and let me know. It doesn't taste good but It works great. This came well packaged and sealed in a layer of plastic as well.I will be back months from now to update after I get my blood levels re-checked.2.5 month UPDATE: had my cbc and cmp checked after an allergic reaction from something else at the ER. Hgb 13 (almost double), Hct=35.08 (didn't think I'd ever go above 30), K+ = 4.0 (I'm usually borderline at 3.5-.6 on potassium pills). All these levels are normal. That said, I'm going down to 1 tbsp every 2 days for this. I don't get symptomatic till my Hgb goes below 8. At 13, I feel great. I pray this works for you as it's worked for me. will update again probably in 6 months. Best wishes to all.
