Great for removing splinters or Poisonous Fish Bone tips that are very small but Extremely painful!
This โhand salveโ for drawing out splinters or if youโre a fisherman, poisonous fish bones, even if itโs just the tip of the Spikes on the back of some of the bait we use. My left index finger had calloused over which I cut off and tried getting the bones out with small nail clippers bought for just that purpose and Never used to cut finger or toe nails but the amount of blood that came from the infection was too much to see anything, let alone so painful that it was worse than the infection. After seeing the doctor on two occasions and being told that there was nothing in there without any x-ray or anything but feeling the open wound with medical gloves on! I was given a prescription cream and told Not to try and get any more bones out. After just a couple days the wound healed over but my finger tip was still red with infection and very painful to the touch, after sucking up the pain and re-opening the wound, I put this โdrawing salveโ on the wound and bandaged it overnight, the next morning I was able to remove the tips of 15-20 more fish bones without loss of blood and very little pain, then after applying it again it drew out some of the poison from the fish bones and was 100 times more effective than Prescription Cream and the help of Two different Doctors! They obviously didnโt believe that lobsterman can get that many bones or in my case tips of the bones, although I have had one go almost completely through my index finger. Why the left index finger you might be wondering, is because it is the hand that I hold the bait spear with the poisonous fish that have been filleted already. The long hollow spikes on their back bone is a form of protection against bigger fish which when they try to catch the fish from behind, the skin slides easily down the hollow spikes that are straight but angled slightly and very similar to Rattlesnake Fangs. When using your left hand to get the bait line weaved through the fishes back and head, facing down, it points the spikes upwards so when you use the fishes weight to โdrop it into the kitchen end of your trap and onto your bait lineโ, 300 times a day 5-6 days a week for months at a time, you feel the inevitable prick when it goes through your glove but your hand is already on itโs way back up and away from your bait. Unfortunately you donโt have the time or sterile equipment to get them out and a lot of times you donโt even know the tip broke off until weeks later because when you look at the fish and itโs spikes, none are missing or broken off enough to notice unless you have one sticking out of the boxes that they come in and snap it half off.

Fast Relief and Easy to Use
Iโve had a really good experience with Hylandโs PRID Drawing Salve. It works well for minor skin irritations, splinters, and small bumps. After applying it, I noticed it helped reduce discomfort and seemed to bring everything to the surface faster. The texture is thick but easy to apply, and a little goes a long way. I also like that it stays in place and doesnโt melt or run too much. Itโs definitely something I like to keep on hand as part of a basic first aid kit. Pros: โข Helps relieve irritation and discomfort โข Effective for splinters and minor skin issues โข Easy to apply and stays in place โข A small amount lasts a long time โข Useful addition to a home first aid kit Cons: โข Strong smell that may not be for everyone โข Sticky texture โข Takes some time to fully work Overall: A reliable and useful product for minor skin concerns. Itโs simple, effective, and worth having at home for quick relief when needed.

Seems to be working
This salve seems to be working for what I bought it for, in just a day the boil (or ingrown hair?) is noticeable smaller. It hasnโt come to a head yet so that I can switch to different skincare, but this product has made an impressive different after just one day and two applications. Itโs true, the smell is not great, but itโs not terrible. Well it IS kinda terrible but what I mean is itโs tolerable- if you need this product its smell should be the least if your concerns, youโre not going to be using this often, itโs a remedy. What I find a little more difficult to deal with is application because this stuff is very very thick and hard to spread. Youโll scoop some out with a clean finger, it takes a little digging in to get it because itโs like a thick paste with a little brown sugar scrub type texture, and gently wiping it over the affected area will leave a lot of the product on your finger until you figure out how to kind to work it on, pressing gently, then spreading it on and learning when to stop for maximum coverage and staying. Itโs kind of hard to work with in certain areas. Wouldnโt be as much of an issue on a hand or forearm for example. Iโm impressed with the pain relief, it definitely soothed and relieved and it does seem like it will bring the issue to a head and draw it out within a few days which is decent. Iโve had similar infected skin bumps that stayed longer even with an antibiotic ointment, which does nothing to draw anything out. Iโll definitely be keeping some of this on hand. Seems like it will draw out the issue with use a couple of times per day, in 2-3 days. I had never heard of it before but this was recommended to me by several people so it must be as good as it seems. edit- Leaving my original review above unedited but changing from 4 to 5 stars and adding this: this stuff works! In 2 days what I needed to be drawn out was, and I was then able to heal the skin without infection. I am definitely keeping this product on hand! And the smell for anyone wondering, is sort of like tar.

Works with consistency
This works if you do it everyday and keep it covered so it doesnโt rub off. I suggest also putting a warm compress on between applications to speed up results. It can be messy, make sure you are putting just on the area that can be covered so it doesnโt get on your clothing or bed sheets. I think the container could be larger, small amount of product but it does go a long way.

Worked like a charm on an ingrown hair.
The scent is not great but it worked like a charm for drawing out an unhappy I grown hair. This is definitely gonna be a product I purchase for life. Had to have surgery on an ingrown 1x and I want to avoid that. With this stuff, I think I will. Anxious to try it on a burgeoning zit.

This Was a Godsend for Me
This product was honestly a godsend. I was struggling with a very painful red bump under my skin that felt like a deep pimple. It was swollen, sore, and hurting pretty badly. I applied this salve to the area, covered it, and changed the covering about every five hours. After around two days, the area finally drained on its own. I cleaned and sanitized it afterward, and it healed up well for me. I was so relieved because this product really helped ease the discomfort while I was dealing with it. Iโm extremely glad I found this and would definitely keep it on hand.

Ok product.
Works well to numb the irritation. In my case bought to try to work a splinter out. Did not help with that. Applications did make it more tolerable till I could get it with tweezers. Smells a bit. Not horrible, just very different.
