I got a few to place over switches that are connected to some outlets so I don't accidentally turn important things off, and these are the best solution I've found anywhere!They're clear plastic so they still look appealing, fit over any regular switch by screwing into the plate, and the cover lifts up if you do need to access the switch without taking the entire cover off.

I thought my ceiling fan was toast. A day later, I found I had accidentally turned off the switch.This works great. I guess I can only say is the material it is made of.It is a hard type of hard plastic & if you hit it or maybe for some other reason, it is the type that cracks & breaks off very easy.However, I live in an older home & although not the right color, it comes with 2 white longer screws.As they say, just install with gently tighten the screws.I first made it hand tight using a screwdriver & checked for wiggle then when turned the screw a little at a time for a nice fit.If you don't try this way, over tightening will cause the screw holes to crack which will decrease the durability.Not that it matters, delivered by Amazon & the wind blew it off the porch. Delivery no commonsense.

Works perfectly. I own an early education center and these light switch guards are wonderful! There are a lot of little hands everywhere and at least the lights are not flickering constantly :)

I needed a protective cover for my home furnace on/off switch. I wanted to make sure you could not mistakenly switch off the furnace. You can easily see the switch position, while protecting against accidently turning off the furnace. A simple clear flip up cover allows easy access to the switch turn off of the furnace if needed.
