OUAI Scalp Serum - Balancing Hair Serum (2 Fl Oz)

Does what it’s supposed to but the differentiator is the soothing natural clean scent. I would buy a body wash, candle literally anything in that fragrance just put it in my cart. No cap. Straight facts my dogs.

I love this product! I have thin fine hair and this helps make my scalp less greasy. I use it after I get out of the shower and it is not oily and dries quickly. It’s expensive, but it is worth it! This also helps with dryness and itchiness. I have psoriasis on my scalp and this helps tremendously. I also absolutely love the smell!

Only been using 3 weeks so no noticeable difference in hair growth. But compared to others I've tried, this one doesn't leave your hair greasy, easy application.

Based on the reviews and my needs for my hair, I was looking forward to this product. I have low porosity, color treated (non-bleach), waist-length, medium/coarse hair. I have strugggle on and off with flakiness and dry scalp. All summer, my hair had been doing really well and hadn't have any flare ups with flakes. I've been searching for a reliable, effective daily scalp serum that I could use to maintain scalp health. With my hair/scalp characteristics, I focus on finding water-based, light-weight products, however this does contain fragrance and other ingredients that could potentially irritate an already sensitive scalp. well within two weeks of using the product every few days (it's always perhaps worht mentioning that I wash my hair once every 4 days), I got a flare up in my flakes and they've remerged. This product is slightly thicker, and I probably wouldn't classify this as a light-weight prodcut compared to say, Kerastase's scalp serums which have less viscosity than this. I feel that in addition to perhaps not washing my hair every day, when I 'd use it it was building up on my scalp and made my flakes worse. So, it didn't work for me. And not to say it won't work for you! But it's important to know what kind of scalp/hair characteristics you have in order to find a product that will best fit your needs. If you have similar scalp/hair conditions, you may want to reconsider this. Unfortunately, that's $50 out :( but I decided to try Nécessaire The Scalp Serum. 5% Capixyl™ + 1% Hyaluronic Acid, which looks like, and hopefully will be, more amenable to my scalp.

I purchased this serum April 9th so I have only been able to use it about 2 weeks and I can’t say I’ve noticed much of a difference. My hair fall still seems a bit excessive but I know these things take time. I will say that the serum smells super good and I can apply it daily without it making my hair oily. My scalp is still dry and a little flaky even after using it though so I’m thinking of switching shampoos. I will definitely come back if I notice a difference or lack of one, but I certainly hope I see something for the price. Update: I used up the bottle a couple months ago and I wasn’t very impressed. For 52 dollars, I expected to at least see an improvement in the dryness of my scalp and overall scalp health like it says it will, but it didn’t feel like it did anything. I didn’t notice really any new growth or lessened shedding. The one thing I did like was that it was cooling on the scalp and very lightweight so it didn’t leave a heavy residue feeling like other scalp serums. But I won’t be purchasing again.

The product is good as a volumizing agent. All the hairs are separated from each other. No-greasy formulation. Observed no other positive effect.
