Pearhead Pet Paw Print Keepsake Ornament Kit, No-Bake Clay Kit

I bought this for my cat to stamp her paws before she died. It worked a charm. It was very easy to use and took the impression of her paws accurately. It came with multiple ribbon choices and the ribbon has stayed strong hanging on a hook for over a month now. There's quite a bit of leftover clay too so you could make something else. Good bang for buck.

I bought two, one for the owner - it's part of their Christmas present and one for myself so I could have a momemeto. I even had enough material left over to make a really small one for someone else who really loves the dog too. There is a nice surface on the back and I plan on using that to put a poem on the back so when the ornament turns on the tree, there will be something to see on the backside and I think the owner will appreciate it as it is a synopsis of the dog's life with the owner. It is so lightweight that it goes well anywhere one wants to hang it. It was easy to make and turned out lovely. I wasn't crazy about the ribbon enclosed; however, I'm using my own and the one for my friend can be in the color they like. Mine can be in the color I like or I can just use fish line and it will look like it's floating. If you are a dog lover and want to keep your pet in memory, this is a great product for yourself or as a gift.

I needed something fast, because we had to take our dog into the ER vet the next morning and I had a deep disgusting feeling that we wouldn't be seeing her again due to her injuries and sickness. It came so fast, was so so sooo easy to use and there was enough clay to make two for hers and two more for my other two dogs. This is beautiful... Absolutely stunning. I am so so beyond happy with my purchase... Thank you.

This is overall a good, inexpensive project to commemorate your fur baby. The tools are basic and items that you could scrape together out of your own household but this is all packaged into a convenient box ready for use. The instructions are simple yet in a dozen languages - don’t let the extra text throw you off! It helps to go over the instructions first to get a big picture of what activity you’ll embark. There are a few things to know: 1) work quickly with the impression material. If you have experience using play-doh or clay, that is a bonus. The impression material is sealed in a foil pouch and when you open it, you’ll find the mound semi-wrapped in a sheet of plastic. It’s a malleable material and has a pleasant (coconut oil?) scent. It sticks a little but you can take the impression material and roll it into a ball and use the actual material itself to lift off any remnants on the plastic sheet. 2) work on a clean workspace & make sure your fur baby is close by ready to make a print with a clean paw. My imprints showed bits of dust which is not as clean looking as the image on the box. 3) you have to provide your own sheet of aluminum foil to line your work surface & allow your ornament to dry. Instead of making one large ornament I ended up quickly divvying the impression material into four (two circular ornaments, one organic and one heart shaped paper weight). This worked in my favor because my dog is small and I was able to make multiple prints with his small paw. You might not be able to do this with a larger dog, say a St. Bernard (or any other large paw). If you have old cookie cutters with your desired shape that would be an additional helpful tool to dig out as I had to shape my heart ornament by hand. Overall I enjoyed using this material and recommend buying it, especially to those that have a knack for crafting keepsakes. The material is relatively easy to use and not as messy as clay. Since you don’t have to bake the ornament it’s low impact with less required maintenance but it does take a couple of days to fully dry. This may be something to consider if you are working on a tighter time crunch.

A wonderful product to help remember your dear pet. It is easy to use, and seems durable. After it dried, I wrote my cat’s name, DOB and date of death in Sharpie, and it didn’t bleed, smudge or become blurry. I am so happy I got this, I also had time to prepare because my cat had advanced congestive heart failure and was given months to live, but I wouldn’t wait to get this item, even if your pets are healthy. I am considering buying three more for my healthy cats just in case and for when the time comes, because you never know. To me, this keepsake is very important and helped me in my time of grieving and mourning, because it feels like I still have a piece of my sweet cat with me.

Used it for my terminally ill cat before he passed. He fought me a little, but was able to get a good print. It’s been many months and it’s still pretty soft which makes me nervous that the print will be messed up. But overall I’m satisfied. I still I have more left!

Honestly a bit disappointed in this product. It doesn’t harden like a clay- it’s more like a foam. So I have some paw prints I made with it and it’s been over a week and they are squishy (not enough it affects the print) but it feels fragile like I could rip it in half. Lightweight enough for tree ornaments yes, but for a memorial piece I would have preferred something hardier.

Very easy to use. My senior cat is being helped over to the other side so I wanted to make this before he goes. The ornament size was a little too large to hang on a tree, so I just used a glass to size/cut it instead of using the tool they provided. Worked great!

The clay came in dried and was no use

Awful! It doesn’t dry fully so is quite soft and also the paw prind doesn’t come nice! Very dissatisfied!

Not exactly what I expected, the paw print won’t show a lot unless you press the paw really hard. It’s more like a foam instead of actual hard clay.

It worked out well even though my cat wasn't that happy about the process 😹 I had to redo it a few times to get an even pressure from the paws. Nice paw prints came out and now I have them forever ❤️
