Great little tool for smaller yards.
Great little tool for smaller yards. Quite a bit smaller swath than I've been used to but more than adequate for my 9000 SQ FT lot. It seems to take about as long to mow my yard as it always has with my old 22" wide gas-powered mower. In fact, due to the smaller size and considerably lighter weight it seems to take less effort, especially in and around flower beds and raised-bed planters. Seems to be well made - at first the wheels seemed kind of chintzy but given the weight they'll probably do. Grass catcher is simple to attach and fits well without gaps and leaks. Assembly was adequately documented and went very well. No missing parts and no special tools nor skills needed. So far, I am happy. Time will tell.

I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to other people.
I am very satisfied with this product. It is easy to use, light and does the job very well. The cut is clean and uniform, and the battery has good life to finish without a problem. It is not very noisy and feels comfortable using it. Perfect for keeping the garden in good condition without complications. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to other people.

Beware LawnMaster— their customer service was a non-starter, as was their mower
I don’t usually read 1 star reviews, but, unfortunately, there’s no way to avoid this rating for the LawnMaster MEB1216K electric lawn mower 16 inch 12 AMP. 1- Highly unstable: DO NOT LET KIDS mow with this product. On flat ground, the mower is stable, but on a small to moderate slope, the mower is so narrow and so light (seeming attributes until I used it) that it tips over, even using the mowing method recommended by the company for non-flat terrain. The user must possess the strength to keep the mower from tipping. It simply shouldn’t be used on a slope of any kind. 2- The electric engine would not start on the second time I used it, about 3 weeks after the first time (when it started fine). I checked the cord, the connection, the outlet, and did al of the troubleshooting things recommended by the company and by Amazon, but it simply wouldn’t start. The mower is useless unless it powers on. 3- Unfortunately, this (#2) happened a week after the return date. So I contacted the company and spoke with an agent. He guided me through the process of starting a return, which included the necessity of cutting the electric cord to the lawn mower and sending them a photo of this. After submitting all of the photos needed and the form, I was feeling pretty good, because the company told me that they would send me a new mower in replacement. 4- several days later I received an email stating the following: “ We are unable to process your request as the receipt shows the product was purchased from Amazon as a used unit. Lawnmaster warranty replacement does not cover used units.” I wrote to the company and explained that their agent who helped me the first time knew that the mower was a “returned” item to Amazon before I bought it. It was “like new,” however in that it was never used prior to my receiving it. In addition, the agent should have informed me that the company wouldn’t honor their warranty PRIOR TO instructing me to cut the electric cord that goes to the engine. The company did not respond to my correspondence in which I stated the above. I wrote again and received a response that said they would not honor their warranty of the lawn mower. Amazon itself resolved the issue amicably, which is to their credit. Amazon rocks, but consumers should be forewarned to think carefully before buying the LawnMaster lawn mower (or any of their products, in light of their poor customer service).

good, light weight
Light weight, mows well. Lever switch seems flimsy and needs to be improved.

Works really well.
We bought this last summer and it still holds up well. It comes with two batteries. We are able to mow most of our yard (in a mobile home park) before having to switch the batteries. It cuts really well and isn't very loud. You do have to empty the bucket often if you use it. Very easy to use. If super thick or wet it will automatically shut off. Overall good product for the cost.

Surprised....
Update on this mower - Well, I've had this mower about 15 months now. I've carted it locally cutting around buildings, shrubs, trees, edging sidewalks and driveways and am still tickled to death with it. It has not had one stumble. The batteries charge just fine... the heavy cloth bag/grass-catcher still works just fine... the flip door where the grass-catcher goes has warped a little (plastic) but that does not interfere with the operation of the mower or the grass-catcher. I've cut through some very heavy foliage - no issue. The "mulch as you go" idea hit me while cutting around the shrubs.... fill the bag - stop - dump the clippings around the shrubs - reseat the bag - continue cutting - repeat. If and/or when this mower bites the dust, I will be very sad because it has served well. Highly recommend this product, and I hope whoever purchases one has the same luck I have had. I can one-hand it into the back of the truck (tailgate down), quick strap it to prevent rolling and move on to the next site (I'm getting close to 80, btw). The batteries will last about an hour or so of continuous mowing if grass is heavy (not wet heavy). Takes a little shy of two hours to fully charge. Would purchase again - no problem. I get nothing for writing this nor expect to do so. I take care of my tools, do not abuse them. This is my experience with this product and happy to support. Wasn't sure what to expect with this mower, but I needed something that I could use around shrubs, borders, and building/s other than a weed eater which is trim no. 2. I got the 16" which goes between the shrubs easily. The cut is easily adjustable from low to high ( a plus ). Follow the wire coming out of the main body of the machine, up the handle and into a little black box and there's a yellow button. Push it in, hold and depress the yellow safety bar - release the button while still depressing the safety bar. There's a slight pause and the blade starts to turn. Works like most every other mower that has a safety bar. This mower also has an automatic 2nd gear for heavy grass, a surprise, and the cut is smooth. I let the grass get too heavy in several places but this little dude tackled it with ease - Again, surprise! Total cut time for my first use - approx... 30-40 mins, and still had battery life. I charged the batteries right out of the box for about a long as it took me to read the instructions and assemble the handle, which is the ONLY real assembly needed. The battery box is easy to access on the top of the body - Caution: There is a Key attached to a string in the battery box that needs to be plugged in (kind of like a table saw safety key) which allows the machine to turn-on. It's zero trouble to assemble if you have any experience with putting things together. It's logical the way it's built. It has a mulch-plug in the rear discharge (where the grass exits) which needs to be removed (just wiggle and lift up & out) before adding the grass catcher (easily attached and removed and already assembled). Easy to dump the grass out because it's fairly small ( a plus, in my opinion because it doesn't get heavy ). This is not a half-acre+ use machine ( again, my opinion ), but it's terrific for a small area or trim use before/after the yard tractor does the heavy lifting. This are my initial thoughts concerning this product because I've only used it once. I recharged the batteries after I completed doing the trimming - probably a 200' X 5' run ... which has a ditch bank, lots of shrubs with borders but not too bumpy. I didn't stop because the battery went down, I stopped because it was almost dark and the skeeters were biting. There's about another 250' X 5' to go. I started with the blade in the second highest position and lowered as I got more used to the machine. Easy to push forward or pull backwards ( cuts either way ). Gotta say - I was Surprised at how easy this machine is to use. It seems that with ordinary care it should last a while. Suits my purpose just fine. I'll update this rating if things go South. The price was under $200 and I've got a weed eater that cost more and is not as easy to use. BTW - I'm closer to 80 than 70. Happy cutting!

Not great not bad either.
FIRST USE 10/22/24: Very easy to set up! Only had to look at the directions once for one thing. Can also see setup on YouTube... “Full unboxing, setup & how to use: Lawnmaster Cordless 13-inch lawnmower 24v.” The grass catcher is solid just enough to hold the grass. Like the company wasn’t going to give an ounce more of a better quality of the plastic. First turn on: It’s very quiet! It’s very child like! “Very Fisher Price!” I’m 55 and I felt like I shouldn’t be using it unless I was 7 yrs old helping my dad cut a small portion of easy lawn to make feel like I was helping out and making me feel like I was a big boy. Or like I was an older widow and it’s just me left and I’m in my 70’s and I stay active and cut my very small simple lawn. I also felt like I may be embarrassed if someone had stopped by while using it. Lol. Does it cut grass?…Yes. You have to do double the laps because it covers only about half of what a regular mower would cut. And I had to go over some missed high grass. I bought this because I needed one more cut for the season and out of nowhere my regular mower didn’t start up. Worked last use and now it doesn’t. I’m not that man that knows how to tinker and take things apart like a mower to get it back up and running. So I researched this and thought there’s not much to figure out other than a dead battery. Battery: My yard I’d consider small but not tiny. There’s 4 fairly small portions to cut including the tree lawn. One battery died after about 30 minutes I think it was. (I wish I had timed it exact.) But I had enough to cut the rest with the second battery. This is definitely not going to handle anything heavy duty so be careful of rocks or foreign objects. I did buy a new inexpensive cordless battery operated weed wacker that can handle anything a bit harder. I’m 50/50 on this so I wish I could give it 2 1/2 stars but I’ll give it a 3. It’s good enough but I’m not sure if a friend would’ve let me borrow it that I would’ve wanted to buy one. I do wonder if I should’ve just put another 50 bucks or so and just bought a regular mower. Not great but not bad either. Just feelings…Lol.

100% Worth the Money
I never leave reviews which I feel bad about, so here you go. I bought these items as a package with very little expectations because the price was so fair. Here to tell you I've been beating both of these items up in yard spaces probably too big for this unit (front and back of my home) for four months now with no issues whatsoever. It's obviously pretty small, so you need to empty the grass catcher out fairly often, but even that is a snap. Assembly is very straightforward, two batteries have plenty of juice and you can just rotate them, double thumbs up all day long for the money on these guys.

Lightweight and very economical.
Works great. Batteries last fairly long. Lightweight. Very easy to unload cut grass and really like the mulching. Would definitely recommend this purchase.

Great and efficient
Works great for our backyard. Just need a long extension cable but much easier than using a battery operated lawnmower

Small but mighty!
Light, easy to maneuver and does a good job. Having 2 batteries is great!
