How long does it run on a 20 pound bottle of propane?

Hello， we have done the testing in factory which with full load is about 1.85kgs per hour, which means the 20 pounds propane could use about 4.9 hours. Of course, if your loading (output power) is not big, which can use longer.

What's the real dB rating on the 9000 unit? You have it listed now as 62, same as the 6000 unit. That seems like an error.

I am sorry it is not an error, we do a lot of optimizing to reduce this big inverter Nosie, and done lots of test proves that 25% loading 23feet is about 62DB, at least reduce 5-6 db compare to the other two brand of 9000w inverter you can find in US market.

Do you recommend a magnetic drain plug and which?

What is the difference between the gm9000ied model and the gm9000ie?

Hi GM9000IE is gas only type, GM9000IED has extra D means it is dual fuel which is gas/propane.
