Based on a not-so-good review on a Kodak converter that I was looking at, which was disclosed that it was not made by Kodak at all, the reviewer recommended the Wolverine F2D Titan. Its reviews sold me on purchasing it. I am very glad that I did! The instructions were complete and easy to follow. The adapters for several slide and film sizes were easily marked and of very nice quality. The included cleaning brush is a helpful tool. And, a 32MG SD card was in the box! The converter itself, along with its large screen, is amazing. It is so simple to use and the converted photos are perfect. Now, a previous review mentioned that when viewing some negatives in the converter screen, the color balance may be slightly off, but I just use the photo software that came with my computer and adjust the prints the same way I adjust my photos from my digital camera after downloading to my computer. Because I am used to doing this, I did not test the converter's color balance feature.I've been looking at film-to-digital converters for a long time and am so glad I purchased this one....both for its ease of use, and its great value (compared to what others cost).

I ordered the Wolverine based on good reviews on Amazon. I received my unit in two days. During setup, not more than 5 minutes after opening the box, the unit froze-up. Customer Service was helpful; they said the unit had a short and I needed to return it for a replacement. I received the replacement about a week later (which included a delay because of bad weather in my area). After this initial glitch, the new unit worked fine. I am using the Wolverine to transfer my 135mm slide collection to digital. The unit is easy to use, and it is possible to physically digitize about six slides/minute. The download to my computer is easy. The instruction manual that accompanies the unit needs work; the process for digitizing is not described well and I had to figure out some aspects of digitizing and downloading myself. My biggest complaint with the unit is the quality of the digitized images. The colors seem to be too saturated and the results tend to emphasize yellow. I have to manipulate the color balance on nearly every image once I have downloaded it to my computer. There are color and clarity manipulation options built into the Wolverine unit itself, but I did not find the results to be satisfactory, and manipulating the color balance slide-by-slide would be very, very cumbersome. To be honest, I have digitized many of my 135mm slides in the past, and most scanners/digitizers do only a fair job of reproducing the quality of the original slides; the same can be said of the Wolverine--no better and no worse than other options. Ease of use and price are the Wolverine's selling points.

Very happy with this product - don't let the price fool you, it does an excellent job! Very simple to use and the best part is you don't need to be connected to your computer to complete the scans! So far, I've tried 35mm slides and negatives and find the results to be excellent. When using, take care to use the enclosed cleaning stick to periodically clean the light in the base of the unit! Also, don't let the image on the screen lead you to believe you have a bad image - the quality after downloading to your computer is excellent. The unit will not let you scan directly to your computer, you must use an SC card or internal memory, but the enclosed USB cable does let you connect to your computer and you can copy the images directly - this isn't fully described in the instructions. Side note: I've only had this for a few days - so far, so good.

I almost didn't purchase this item because there were a couple of negative comments on the resolution and portions of the picture being cut off. I did not find this to be true at all. The resolution was great. I had tried taking digital photos of the slides off a good quality screen, but wasn't pleased with the resolution or color. The Wolverine produced high quality JPEG files of my 35mm slide photos and 35mm film negatives. It is very easy to use and the process moves along at a good rate of speed. I found I did not need special trays that could be purchased separately. Like other posts, I wanted to get all these old photos converted to JPEG digital files so they can be shared with family and friends on thumb drives. I was very pleased with the results.

I have hundreds of family 35 mm slides that go back to the 1940s that today have to be converted to digital to be usable ( I used to have a 40+ year old Carousel projector but it broke and could not be fixed.) I read the reviews of various film-to-digital equipment and decided to go with the Wolverine Titan. I received it on a Wednesday and picked up how to use it fairly quickly. I did about 210 conversions when the machine simply shut down - it would not progress past the initial screen. I sent it back and asked for a replacement, which arrived in about 10 days. Yesterday afternoon I received the replacement and put it to use. This time I got through only 180 slides before it shut down, precisely like the prior machine. I tried to return it to the company but they were completely unhelpful, so I contacted Amazon and they agreed to receive the broken machine and refund my money on receipt. I sent the second broken machine back via UPS this afternoon. In short, I got three days' service out of two separate machines. Not acceptable.I have ordered a Kodak Slide n Scan, which I'm told will arrive next Wednesday. I am hoping for a better experience. If I learn anything helpful I will pass it along.Short recommendation: Read the reviews of the Wolverine Titan 8-in-1 to see whether the company's quality control has gone into the toilet, which is what I suspect.Tom NelsonZigzag, Oregon - 5 January 2024

Pictured: My dad “Red” in Vietnam around 1972. I couldn’t believe the quality of the pictures. In minutes, I scanned slides from the Vietnam War and negatives from the 70’s and 80’s that belonged to my father who just passed. While he was alive, he paid several hundreds of dollars to have some of his Super 8 film converted, which took 11 months to get back and they ruined one of his reels. He would have paid double for this little machine to convert all his slides and negatives. He always wanted to get the slides and pictures converted but it would have been too much money and risky to send it off through the mail. It’s too bad we didn’t know about this product. My family is so happy that I purchased this to give them a chance to see pictures they haven’t seen for 30 years or more.The color balance option before saving is an awesome feature. Fixing the pictures after scanning would take much longer, but this machine lets you easily adjust it before saving. Excellent.

Works great for scanning slides but it advertised a photo scan but it doesn't do pictures. It comes up a little short of meeting expectations.

I had high expectations about this product based on other product reviews on Amazon and elsewhere. Certainly there are cheaper offerings on the market for film-to-digital scanners. I didn't want cheap. I wanted excellent. The Wolverine Titan simply didn't deliver.I have hundreds of old slides from decades ago that I'd never gotten around to digitizing. When I dug out those old Ektachromes, I was blown away by how vibrant the colors were and how crisp the imagery was. But the scanned images produced by the Wolverine were dark, pixilated, and sadly lacking in detail. They couldn't even be corrected or enhanced in photoshop. Not only that, but the scanner wouldn't capture the full image. It's amazing to me that they would even market a slide scanner that can't capture the full dimensions of a color slide. The Wolverine chopped off heads and gave me a degraded image not even suited for simple Facebook posts. I'd be better off getting a slide projector, projecting the slides on a good screen, and taking a photograph of the projected image with a digital SLR.In the end I had to send this back for a refund. If you're willing to settle for meager quality, you don't need to spend big money on this overhyped disappointment.

It does the Job Required, Just fideily and time consumimg to use. In the end quite pleased with the output. Barry
