Techbee 1 s to 999 h Short/Long On-Off Interval Repeat Cycle Timer Plug Outlet with Countdown and Light Sensor, Waterproof for Outdoor (15A 1HP)

I needed a timer that could be programmed to cycle off a battery charger for a few seconds so that it would restart once every three days to keep a 200Ah LiFePO4 battery charged. I set up this 200Ah battery to power a 2500 Watt Sine Wave inverter to use as robust UPS system for all of the power sensitive computers and other electronic devices in my house. The problem I discovered was that the inverter's LCD display would eventually draw down the battery after 5 or 6 days to the point that the inverter would sense the voltage falling below 11.8Vdc and shut the unit off. If I didn't notice that, the unit would not be ready for a power outage and defeat the entire purpose. The Battery's BMS (Battery Monitoring System) circuit that is built in to the battery, keeps the charger turned off until it reaches somewhere below 11.8Vdc. So the charger never turns on by itself unless you cycle the power. I programmed this timer to run in the on state for 36 hours and then off for 5 seconds which will now restart the charger and brig the battery back up to 14.4Vdc where it is fully charged. When fully charged, the BMS circuit tells the charger to turn off, which it does. Works like a dream. No more caught off guard with a low or dead battery from the system sitting idle. The instructions were a little confusing, but just play with the buttons a little and it soon becomes easy to understand how it programs with no problem. One down side to warn you about which is not an issue for my application; It's advertised to have memory backup, which it does in that if you unplug it, it remembers your programming scenario. However, after power is restored, it starts the originally programmed time cycle all over again instead of continuing from the point of elapsed time before the power failure. In my application, it is beneficial that upon any power failure, I will want my charger to cycle and bring the battery back up immediately. Prior to finding and using this product, I would have gone to the trouble and expense to use two 12Vdc timer boards, one for the 36 hour time delay and the other for the 5 second cycle off combined with 120Vac plugs and receptacles to perform this task instead of this all in one self contained, safe and waterproof plug and play unit. The unit seems very well built and waterproof for outside use. I highly recommend this product! Hope this helps.

Works great. It was easy to program and confirm settings. Seems durable and high quality. It's been reliably switching off/on a grow light that is connected to another separate standard weekly timer. I have this Techbee repeat interval cycle timer set to remain on all day and quickly switch off/on for just two seconds shortly after my existing weekly timer switches on a plant grow light each day. That grow light has three different color modes designed to affect growth. My plant light modes can only be changed by depressing a foot switch on/off/on/off/on/off in sequence. I'm using this cycle timer to simulate a manual off/on toggle foot switch that switches through the plant light's three color modes. I now have my plant light automatically switch on, and once on, this repeat timer will automatically switch it off/on for two seconds so it advances to the next light mode in the off/on toggle sequence. With a short off/on 2 second setting, I can now manage my plant light automatically. It's very flexible and has precise programmable timing. I also like that it's water resistant as it sits right below my plant.

Great quality product that has ability to cycle for short durations for as often as needed. I used for evap cooler flush pump that turns on for 5 mins every 5 hrs. Works great!

I really like this product. In most cases after power failure it starts right up and begins its timing cycle. However, I was using it to turn a pump on and off and when power is lost during pumping it could reset into programming mode. As long as the pump was off when power was lost, it seems to be ok. Also, the module turning the pump on and off was ok as well. It occasionally resets only when power is lost and the pump is pumping. Perhaps a surge protector on the motor would help this but hasn’t been tested.

Just programmed them so not much run time on them. Easy to program and work like a charm

Very easy to program this timer which came with clear programming instructions. My only complaint is I wish it had a slightly longer cord.

Worked, until it didn’t. First the lcd readout was half dead. Managed to get it set blind. But then today it stops working entirely. Makes a grinding vibration sound when it wants to come on. Probably a solenoid?

Overall, this is a useful little gadget- in my use case, I’m using it to cycle a small water pump for my hydroponics. You can set any increment of time (1 second to 999 hours) On and off (can be different lengths of time). For the price point, quality is as expected and it’s stood up to some harsh conditions over the years, I can’t tell the one I bought last month apart from the one I bought 2 years ago. The only con with these units is that randomly, if the unit loses power (say, if you have it on a switch controlled circuit), it will sometimes reset and loose its programming when the power is restored, but it generally has good power-loss-memory.

This timer is amazing with endless applications. Seller is great at answering questions. Extremely happy with my purchases was looking for ages for something with this functionality.

Works super good. I bought two of these and keep one as a backup. It controls my heat trace on an underground line going to the well at my lake house. Even though the heat trace is self regulating, it can turn on unnecessarily so I use this to ensure the water isn’t too warm. I have it set for 10 min on, 10 min off. Thats a 50% duty cycle.

Works great for my Apartment Patio Sprinkler... I have it timed for between 25-30 seconds on, each day on a 24 hour cycle when away from home... Keeps my plants watered when gone for 2 weeks...

I love this timer. I have it set up so it turns on a small water pump connected to a very limited capacity water well for one minute out of every hour. It has been really reliable.
