I'm skeptical I've bought from hims website and Walmart before both had a cap that felt more secure before. This cap is not secure in spinning to locked. The foam smells different and not certain but pretty sure it's a different size then the hims I bought from official sources. I'm not gonna rate poorly until I'm sure.. I'm keeping an open mind and just using to see if I'm tripping but at best I'm skeptical.

When I was researching the active ingredient, I saw that there’s a Her’s version that’s half as potent and applied twice daily. As I already struggled with oily scalp, doing a twice daily treatment was concerning. Luckily, there are studies showing that there’s no difference in effectiveness between 5% once daily and 2.5% twice daily for women! And the results speak for themselves. Great for women with PCOS and male-patterned hairline recession! Now, this doesn’t work only on your head hair. I learned the hard way that if it dripped down my face or I slept on it at night, my peach fuzz started to grow darker and thicker, too. I found best results by dipping a q-tip into the oil and dabbing it along my hairline and thin areas, then putting on a silk bonnet overnight to keep the oil contained. Results can take time, and you have to be super consistent or it starts to fade away again. But for the dedicated, this can be life changing.

It needs to be cold, you need to chill your hands in cold water to use this per the instructions. Even then, I find it immediately bubbles away when touched. I though this would be easier to apply than liquids, but it requires extra tools and prep time which is uncomfortable. Just go with the oil if you want easy application.The best thing I've found for this is to use a soft bristle toothbrush to apply. You can chill the brush instead of your hands, and requires less washing which I'm paranoid about as this will cause you to grow hair where ever it touches (except the head apparently).It did not work for me at all - I was using for preceeding hairline and Minoxidil isn't supposed tk help with that and nobody ever claimed it did - I just assumed as it's a hair growing product it would be for hair growth. It's only for a bald cap - only works on the middle back of the head. No idea why - this is what I've discovered after looking into it only after buying and using. It was not clear to me from the posting that this was just for bald cap area. That's on me though - buyer beware and all. I used the rest as preventative on that area but won't be buying again. Would recommend the liquid if this is something that might work for you.
