Is there rubber to provide some cushion between the stem and the phone? If so how thick is it?

There is a solid piece of rubber there. But I would still recommend having a standard phone case. Been using it for a while now haven't had any problem

Would this go around a 2" tube on a roll cage?

My samsung s10E with case measures just under 6 inches would it be too tight or should i get the bigger model?
