Liforme Classic Yoga Mat - Patented Alignment Design, Ultimate Grip

If I could give it 10 stars I would--for both the product and the customer service!! I have been practicing yoga for 4 years and I've been following Instagram yoga superstars for 3. When I first started seeing this mat pop up in their pics and videos, I thought the alignment lines were a great idea, but with my super sweaty (self and) practice, I always cover my mat w a towel and thought it was pointless. Then I saw the price and thought these people were crazy town. But since I started coveting this mat, I've spent 90 bucks a piece on 3 different mats. None of them offered what this mat does. Now...aside from the lines, they also claimed to remain super sticky, even through a sweaty practice, making the towel unnecessary. I thought that was absurd, and my other mats claimed the same thing and those claims proved false false false. But then I saw videos of people practicing on this mat, where the mat was clearly wet (it shows up the minute a drop of sweat touches it), and they were doing some pretty tricky/slide potential moves with no slipping. I decided to bite the bullet and ordered the pink one. No free shipping either. But I figured you get what you pay for. (I pay top dollar for my yoga clothes because they perform better. And I *thought* I was paying top dollar before for my top of the line mat--but seriously...in comparison, those mats might as well be the 10dollar mats you can get from a convenience store). Now, I eagerly watched my tracking--could not wait to get the mat. It was like Christmas in May!! The tracking said it was delivered, I raced home from work that day so the poor mat would not sit in the Florida heat for too long. I pull up to my house. No mat. I call Amazon, they check with the carrier and they confirmed delivery. I live in a gated community and really don't have issues w packages disappearing (but I will say, my gate has been broken 8 days a week for the last month). ANYWAY. Amazon confirmed delivery and contacted the seller for me. Seller (a woman named Aimie with Liforme) contacted me the same day. She said she'd confirm delivery w carrier and get back to me. At that point I lost hope, emailed her back saying Amazon already confirmed delivery and carrier says they left it on my porch. I figured at that point they'd say "sorry, move to better neighborhood, your neighbors are thieves." BUT THEY DIDN'T! Aimie sent me another one the next day! WHAT?! Amazing. 5 start service. Now back to the mat--I've used it 6 or 7 times now...wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke or there wasn't some kind of special coating on it that wears off and you're left with a slip and slide run way by the time you're no longer eligible for a return. This mat is the real deal. They could probably charge double. Seriously. I sweat a lot. And during very sweaty practices this mat keeps giving me the traction I need for proper form. It's hard to ground the outer edge of your back foot when it will slide off the mat if you lean any weight on it at all! This mat has changed my practice completely (already). I'm no longer finding myself putting all my weight on whatever body part can take it without sending me flying. Im more even, weight is better distributed, and I'm not constantly agonizing over alignment. I've also been able to practice at home without mirrors because I no longer need them for alignment guides!! (And I don't wanna put this beautiful mat on the gross studio floor either lol). Anyway, this mat is magic. It really does what it says it does. I don't know how I've gotten along without it. If you're on the fence, go for it. You won't be sorry.

I have used this mat for a week now, and it delivers the goods. Great traction, no slippage at all when sweaty, even in poses like Urdhva Dhanurasana (upward bow), which is where I've most often experienced trouble using lesser mats. It's solid, too, providing a good stable foundation for jumping/floating transitions. The alignment markings weren't a selling point with me, but I've been surprised to find how helpful they are. Even in a familiar practice (i.e., Ashtanga), I find myself making little adjustments for more symmetry. If there's a downside to this mat, I would say it's weight: I can definitely feel a difference in my yoga bag carrying this one as opposed to an ordinary foam-type mat. But totally worth it in my opinion!

This mat is the bomb! I returned 2 others before I decided to try this one. I use it for Hot Cardio/Body Challenge (not a yogi), and I POUR sweat. I still can jump, lunge, squat, and do poses during the class. I wipe it off and hang it to dry for the next day. Yes, it stains a bit, but it is still the best mat for stickiness, absorption, and comfort. Recommended.

This mat is heavy, however, so worth it. I am sweaty. And I did not slip. I felt so secure. It’s worth the money - I was super hesitant about the price, but it’s totally worth it.

I do some kind of strength training, Pilates, cardio, and/or yoga at home everyday, and my old yoga mat was falling apart. So I was in the market for a new one and did a lot of research beforehand to get exactly what I needed: something durable with a lot of grip that could handle all my different workouts. Pros: -Great grip both on bottom (so it doesn’t slip around on my carpet) and on top (so I don’t slip around) -The lines help me focus on my form, especially in yoga where body positioning is important -The material feels very durable -Comes with a carrying bag should I need to move it -Great length Cons: -Not well-padded for certain positions. If you have bad knees or hips and need extra padding, you may want to opt for a more traditional foam mat. Or you could always use a towel or blanket or something to give yourself extra padding. -Loud: The material will definitely squeak if you move around on the mat a lot. Also, when doing exercises on your back, if your back arches and flattens, it will make a farting noise, to be frank. This is no problem for me since I work out alone at home, but if you plan to bring it somewhere, you may want to keep that in mind! -Heavy: I actually think this is a pro because it helps it from slipping around, but I don’t need it to be portable since I work out at home. -Shows hair: I’m not sure if this is just because I got the grey mat or if it would happen with all the others (which it might since the material seems to be perfect for attracting hair), but I have a white dog whose hair is all over my house, and this mat shows it like crazy. That being said, it brushes off very easily and isn’t a big deal. Conclusion: I am very happy with this mat so far, despite a couple small downsides. That being said, I have only used it a few times so far, so I cannot speak to the longevity of the mat. It feels very durable, but I will update my review should anything change in the future.

Bought for my daughter who does yoga daily. She loves this mat. Good quality. Nice size and thickness. She doesn’t slip around on it like she does on some of the other mats.

UPDATE: The company responded to my concern quickly, with great resolution— first trying a cleaning, then replacing with a darker mat. I would still recommend a dark mat, but I am very much enjoying the guidelines and stickiness of this mat. Great company. Former review: I was so excited to order this mat as I'd admired it in class and thought it was a good "graduation from Yoga Teacher Training" gift to myself! Only a couple months in I'm so disappointed to see that every bit of sweat shows up on the mat. I've had lighter color mats before, from Lululemon, and hadn't had this issue so hadn't anticipated it. As a result of experiencing this early on (I do lightly hot vinyasa) I'm extra careful with the mat; I don't wear any makeup but still, I put a towel under my face whenever I'm tummy down. I also keep the mat unrolled in my house post workout to let it air dry (though this really doesn't help with the sweat stains). I use gentle soap and water as recommended and it doesn't work. If you order this mat, I'd suggest only going with a dark color unless you don't mind big sweat stains all over it.

Apart from the fact that the packaging was pretty bad (my mat hanging out the end of the box) This is one of the best things I've spent 200$ on in a long time. I loooove my mat. Its truly is sticky. I have very dry/slippery hands and feet and have never been able to find a mat that held me securely, Here it is, my hands and feet don't move AT ALL. I feel like a queen on this luxury. It's so beautiful and calls to me . . . If you're tossing us whether to get one - DO it, I can't possibly imagine that you'd be nothing but joyful !

Je suis ravie de cette achat! Enfin un tapis qui tient ses promesses! Il est vraiment antidérapant. Il a changé ma pratique du yoga. Je peux enfin réaliser toutes les postures sans risque de glisser, du coup je les fait plus aisément et plus profondément sans avoir peur de glisser et me faire mal. Alors je travaille mieux et cela me procure davantage de satisfaction et de plaisir. D'autant plus que le marquage permet un meilleur alignement. Je recommande ce tapis, le meilleur que je n'ai jamais vu. En plus il est eco-friendly ce qui est aussi très important pour moi. Ce tapis n'est pas donné, mais il vaut son prix largement!
