So what do you get? A small brown cardboard box with black print telling you it's a RISE remapping kit. Inside the box are multiple plastic bags containg:- New backplate (with textured rubber grips in my case) Plastic back buttons + case parts Several printed circuit ribbons Screws, pins, screwdriver + tool to help dismantle controller case Small circuit board and a very fine insulated wire Warranty card and warning sheet (NOT INSTRUCTIONS see below) OK this kit can fit 2 different variants of the dualsense controller. The warning sheet tells you how to cut the ribbon connectors once you've identified which one you have. Installation instructions are provided via a youtube video which is very good and easy to follow. I found the installation relatively straightforward but I've built my own PCs for years and have taken stuff apart since I was a kid (sometimes it still worked afterwards). For those who have never done anything like this before it maybe a little daunting but it's easier than you think. If you don't follow the video and try it "blind" so to speak....it won't end well. I completed the installation in about an hour, I took my time and did the FULL install. Let me explain, a limited install means you can map all buttons except the touchpad, R3 and L3 (joystick clicks) this is the easiest install. If you want to be able to map all buttons R1, R2, R3, L1, L2, L3, touch pad, D pad, triangle, circle, square and X then you'll need to do a little soldering. It's nothing major (4 small solders) but something to keep in mind. At the end of the installation video it runs through how to put the RISE into setting mode, how to map the buttons , how to leave settings mode, how to cancel a remapped back button and how to cancel all remapped buttons. In use it works flawlessly, I have seen reviews that have complained that the buttons are too fragile and break easily but I think the kit comes with a new version that are more robust (you can also order replacement buttons and metal buttons are available). I don't find them overly sensitive but that's a subjective thing. The only bad thing I encountered was when I initially opened the box the bag containing the screws and pins had split and they were rattling around inside. On the plus side they supply so many spare screws and pins it made no difference but not a great first impression when you open the box. So in closing this might not seem cheap for a kit that means you have to take apart your controller (possibly screwing it up) and do all the work. It's not a simple "clip it on and away you go" deal. What you get (if you do it right) is remappable back buttons that are a damn sight cheaper than one of the 3rd party modded controllers like SCUFF. All in all it's good value for a gamer.

Well I was really unsure whether I wanted to do this kit as all I wanted the back buttons for was L3 and R3. As there is soldering involved I was a little nervous. The video instructions are spot on and very simple to follow, even the soldering of the L3/R3 cable. If you don't want these then it's all just a case of swapping ribbon cables with the ones they provide. All in all a brilliant piece of kit and would recommend anyone with a bit of soldering knowledge to go for it. Just take your time, be patient and follow the instructions and you'll have no problems.

Worked as described- I now have back buttons for jump and slide in COD .. its a steal at this price. Id recommend this if you have a bit of diy in your blood. No soldering required and necessary tools included. Recommendation: watch the full instruction video first and work out which parts to skip. This is the only hard part, not getting a bit lost between the two different controller models and steps to skip if you dont need L3/R3 wired up.

Got this specifically to play Cyberpunk 2077 easier on my PC so I press O and X while still being able to aim. Video instructions were on the box was easy to follow. You only need to solder this if you are planning on using the back buttons to remap as the touchpad button and L3 and R3 buttons, any other buttons than that you don’t need to solder. Came with all stuff you need besides scissors. Will buy from this company again ;)

This modification was easy to install I did it at the same time as the extremerate hair triggers, there are videos from the company on YouTube showing you how to install the mod. Extremerate modifications are a great alternative if your after a pro controller but cannot justify the cost of a pro controller

I truly do not recommend this rise kit at all. The installation is simple albeit a pain, but the fault finding afterwards is mental. I installed this to the letter per their instructions just to find out that the ribbon cables provided don't provide enough power to the trigger assembly to report both press and depress motion. For me it meant my L2 was locked down all the time and could only be resolved by changing the aim behaviour on games. Don't buy, just be happy with your current controller config. That or buy something like the Edge or Scuf.

I bought this kit because I wanted to add rear paddles to a standard PS5 controller without paying the price of a premium pro controller, and overall I’ve been very impressed with the kit. The package includes pretty much everything required for the installation: screws, PCB boards, ribbon cables, connectors, replacement back shell, tools, and screwdriver. The components feel well made and everything was packaged clearly. One important thing to understand is that this kit does not create two completely new buttons. Instead, the rear paddles are remapped to existing controller inputs. If you want to map functions such as the touchpad, L3, or R3 to the paddles, you’ll need to solder wires directly to the controller PCB. I personally didn’t need those functions remapped, so I skipped the soldering entirely and the installation was still fully functional. Before installation, it’s important to confirm whether your controller is a BDM-010 or BDM-020 version, as this affects the ribbon cables. Depending on the model, you need to trim two of the ribbon cables slightly for proper fitment. You can identify the version once the controller is opened, as it’s printed directly on the PCB, or you can use online tools that detect the controller model when connected to a PC. The remapping process itself is very easy. You simply hold the button on the back of the controller, press the paddle you want to configure, and then press the original button you want assigned to it. It’s quick and intuitive once installed. Instructions are included, although they are fairly basic. I would strongly recommend following the official YouTube installation video which explains the process much more clearly and makes the installation much easier to follow step by step. Overall, this is an excellent upgrade for anyone wanting extra rear buttons on a PS5 controller at a fraction of the cost of buying a dedicated pro controller. Installation requires patience and care, especially when opening the controller and routing ribbon cables, but the final result feels very professional once completed. Not sure on longevity but will update if there are any major issues.

First off this is a cheaper alternative to an expensive pro controller like a scuff which I think are way overpriced and not really on the market yet, it may be tricky for some people to install because you do have to take apart your dualsense and attach new ribbons to the circuit board, but as long as you watch the installation video which you can find on youtube and take your time you should be fine, it took me about 45 minutes to an hour, the paddles are very responsive and everything works how it should, my only gripe is the positioning of the paddles because it's easy to accidentally click them but just takes a little getting used to.

Ho sempre comprato i prodotti di questa casa e devo dire che il kit per la PS5 è eccezionale, rispetto a quello della PS4 è molto più pratico da installare, ma attenzione non è come montare i premi degli ovetti kinder, richiede una manualità elevata e per mappare tutti i tasti una capacità di saldare di buon livello anche se, altra nota di merito, per i tasti L3 e R3 hanno creato una maschera facilissima da saldare al posto dei vecchi fili microscopici. Se fate FPS è un prodotto da avere e da installare assolutamente
