Unfortunately, I sent out this £250 e-Gift as a result of a scam. My friend's email account was hacked and the scammer contacted me via email pretending to be my friend. 'My friend' asked me for a favour to send an Apple e-Gift card to her friend in hospital awaiting operation. We exchanged about five of six emails in the process. I was convinced I was communicating with my friend. I made the purchase and sent it to the email she provided with some personal greetings. Later on when I texted her it turned out that I have become a victim of a scam. Amazon is aware about scams like that taking place. DESPITE OF IT, IT IS A GREAT PITY THAT AMAZON DOES NOT PROVIDE A FLASHING SCAM WARNING BANNER TO THE PUBLIC PURCHASING SUCH FINANCIAL PRODUCT ON ITS WEBSITE. Brand names such as Apple and Amazon are perceived by the general public as honest and secure. Shoppers rightfully expect integrity and safety from them. Unfortunately, on this occasion, they did not fully meet such expectations. Hence 1 star.

Beware of these cards, I just sent one to a scammer (I was tired and didn't fully check everything) and when I realised it was too late to redeem. It's basically like sending someone £50 cash I have reported to Apple but they cannot help without a serial number and Amazon are not able to provide. After a long call with Amazon support they admitted that they did not know what to do and I have been told that I will be contacted again within 48 hours with further help. That has now passed and Amazon have not contacted me. I will persist. This is not about my £50, this is about these cards and Amazon should not be freely selling them. A misspelt email address or a scammer and your money is gone without a trace because Amazon does not retain the claim code or the serial number.

I have just letting you know amazon it is the r bank card but I try again between 5:00am to 6:00am in the morning but it did work for me on Netflix 3:30am this yearly hours in morning 🌄 very sorry but I don't know if I done my bank account properly or not please very sorry from Jason Hughes please

One of the cards didn't work but there is no way of getting a refund or reissue of card . So out of pocket again there has to be away of making it easier to get refund on cards that don't work, I think I have lost over £300 on cards that have not worked.
