There’s a slight 1–2 second delay for the laptop to recognize the keyboard and mouse after switching, but that’s due to the laptops, not the switch itself.

Hooked it up to split usage of a printer to two PCs, but stopped working within a few weeks. Of course I'm already past the return window.

I ordered this keyboard switch and it arrived on my doorstep a few hours later; thank you AMZN! I have an app that requires my MacBook instead of my older iMac, but I love the Mac's big 24" screens and its full-size keyboard with a number pad and the little laptop's keyboard massively slows down my input.I plugged in this USB 3.0 switch and it immediately solved these issues. I also run an Apple mouse on the laptop and a second one on the iMac, as well as feeding the MacBook to one of the IMac's large displays. The whole setup is literally just as good as if the app in question (TurboTax) was able to run on Big Sur on the Mac.I seamlessly flip back-and-forth all day long between the 2 computers and this keyboard USB switch makes it all possible.

Works as advertised. USB 3.0 is a must-have these days. Only downside is the item was slightly scuffed out of the box, but I keep this hidden under my desk for easy out-of-sight switching, so it's not a big deal for me. Would be nicer to have some better protection for the item that doesn't get it so scuffed up when it is brand new.

To keep my usb port from wearing out I use this switch to connect a usb memory stick to either of two computers. I chose this method as plugging and unplugging the memory wore out one usb port in 9 months.The switch works to prevent contact wear.I chose this one as it comes with two usb wires. If the wires are bought individually they would cost $6 each.I have had it only 2 days, and can not comment on how wear resistant it is until after January 2027.
