what power requirements does the "Brick" need? Is it a plug in on a 110 v 15 or 20 amp circuit? The details of your requirements are lacking

The brick can be plugged into a standard 110 15 amp circuit. in order to comply with United States code the brick cannot be placed in an attic or an unaccessible place such as a ceiling. We recommend locating the brick in an accessible location and utilizing a DC extension cable as noted in the listing. Please feel free to call our listed phone number with more questions.

does the echo dot need to be in the room that the speaker is located?

You do not have to have The Lithe Audii Bluetooth speaker in the same room in fact the wireless range is very good. BTW I purchased main single active as well as the slave speaker and couldn’t believe the sound clarity/quality. Easy to pair and install good luck. 👌
