Bondic LED UV Glue Kit, Super Glue, Liquid Plastic Welder, Cures Quickly, Adhesive Repair for Home, Garage, Outdoors (LED Light & Liquid Cartridge in a Tin Case)

I've used many adhering products and 90% are garbage, 7% barely do as claimed and the last 3% do as advertised. This one does as advertised. This came recommended by a friend and I took it with a grain of salt, but said "what the heck". First thing.. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! I decided to use it on a plastic trim bezel in my car that the holding posts had broken off yrs back and it kind of sat there occasionally falling off. I cut some tabs from another item and applied the first one to the bezel (see pic)...using the curing light on both sides for 4-7 seconds each side and I let go. I was flabbergasted, I kept waiting for it to lean over, I gave it a little push on the tab and the whole bezel moved solidly. I picked it up by the tab and it was rock solidly applied. I tried wiggly it, nope, solid and only took a few seconds. No waiting minutes or hours for curing only to be disappointed after the wait as the piece fell back apart. I immediately texted my friend and with explicit language told him how impressed I was. I then applied the other tab...now this is part of READING THE INSTRUCTIONS! I applied a couple more layers of the bondic to each tab, using the light 4-7 seconds and then put the bezel back and it snapped right into place very nicely and securely. That wasn't good enough, I pulled it back out, put it in, smiled, repeated and smiled to a little laugh of success....thinking to myself, this took all of 5 minutes total to do. As a 30yr contractor I have some heavy duty adhesives I've use on occasion, they would not have worked for this application. So I am familiar with what I've written and can say that at minimum, this will take care of a number of those things that got nicked off and glues wouldn't work on. There's no smell, no sticky fingers, its direct application, turn on and apply the light and its hard. I'm ready to be impressed with some heavier duty applications and will update if I do some.

Bondic glue is a stand-by in our house. It fixes nearly everything! I order it regularly.

I find this product useful for some types of repair, but I don't consider it to weld or glue any material I have used. The epoxy (or whatever it is) sticks only to itself when the UV is applied. This is OK when the situation allows the gel-like fluid to get into cracks and crevices yet still be accessible to the UV light. But it won't work well for two pieces that must be simply stuck together. If the light can't reach the epoxy then it won't set up. Super glue is a better solution for that type of repair. To repair something like broken eye glass temples, where two long pieces need to fit end-to-end, this epoxy must be applied over an inch or so to eventually form a tube surrounding the joint. That repair will work for a while, but because the epoxy doesn't stick to the plastic the joint soon slips apart. I tried using additional layers of the epoxy to lengthen the repair but no luck. Another complaint is the tiny and flimsy switch on the UV light. It moves about 1/32 of an inch and is not easy to operate, even when using a fingernail. Changing the battery is also difficult. Four tiny screws must be removed, after which the entire LED assembly falls apart. The minuscule sliding switch goes one way, the LED goes another way, and you get on all fours to find the pieces. The housing contains 2X 2016 cells that must be positioned between two legs of the LED, with one leg fitting precisely into the sliding switch component. Take note of which leg of the LED goes "up" because installing the LED in reverse won't work. So overall I see this product as a good choice for mechanical repairs that allow the epoxy to "get a grip" into holes or ridges, but not very good for "gluing" things together. And the UV light is very poorly designed. If I can determine the proper UV wavelength I will hunt for a better solution.

used it or tried to a number of times. It does not really bond, but rather grips the texture of both objects, so it only works for some jobs. Also, the operation of the UV lamp was erratic and had to take the lamp part apart and fix it.

Have used this on a dozen projects so far. O read and re-read the directions and here's the most important part: Clean and rough up the surfaces to be joined. This is important, but not every application will allow this, because sanding the surfaces will dull and scratch so the glue will bond, but if it shows, so will the scratches. Plus, while it clings to nearly every surface, some weird plastics will NOT work. Also, if the glue is put into a blind spot where the curing light cannot reach, it will not harden. That said, this is the coolest and most terrific bonding system I've ever used and it truly takes less than 20 seconds to harden. Very useful in many situations.

I ordered this product on November 28, 2024. My bondic arrived on December 5th, and I was excited to try it out. But when I picked it up, it had been cracked right through the middle of the tube, and immediately fell apart, oozing the foul-smelling liquid plastic. I went to report "problem with order" and found that Amazon considers Bondic a "third-party sale" and dumps you over to the Bondic website as "not our responsibility." There, I was asked to log in. But people who buy the item from Amazon don't have a Bondic login. So, I collected the Bondic customer service email address, and sent them a description of the problem, with photos. This was on the same day it arrived, December 5th, 2024. From this point, MY EXPERIENCE WAS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE THE OTHER DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER WITH ONE-STAR REVIEW WHO GOT NO HELP AFTER REPORTING A BROKEN TUBE, BELOW: I got the same response: an initial email (with a trouble ticket number), saying that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours, then NOTHING. And, also like the other customer, I tried using it in its current state. I had NO applicator pen, as that was the part of the tube that had broken in two. (OUR TUBES/APPLICATORS EVEN BROKE IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE, SUGGESTING EITHER A MANUFACTURING ISSUE, OR SABOTAGE.) But I was able to dab a toothpick in the liquid and use the light, and it did work. Unfortunately, the liquid had almost entirely oozed out of the tube, which could not be sealed closed, due to its broken state. The applicator pen was broken. And both were coated in a sticky, smelly mess of goo. So, I had only enough liquid for a "proof of concept." Nothing more. I also blame Amazon for setting up a grey area where neither company is responsible for the customer service. Shame on Amazon! Shame on Bondic!

My glasses snapped at the bridge in a bicycle accident and I knew it would be at least two weeks before I could get some more. I found the company video purely by accident, looking for methods to repair the glasses bridge. I thought it was too good to be true. But, I found Bondic on Amazon, and bought it. I followed the instructions precisely, making sure both sides were squeaky clean using alcohol and a tissue. After using needle nose vice grips to hold one half of the frames I put a drop of Bondic on the break, lined up the other half of the frames, and hit the break with the UV light. After about 10 seconds I pulled off, waited a few seconds, then hit it again. Sure enough the Bondic hardened, so I repeated on the back and bottom of the break. After finishing I was able to put my glasses back on, and the repair looks solid as a rock. Don't know how long it will last, but for 10 bucks I am able to wear my glasses again, until I can get to the optometrist to get another pair!

I'm shocked at how quick & easy this was to use. I have one pair of glasses & broke one of the arms close to the hinge almost all the way through. They've been hanging in there just enough to keep wearing out of necessity, but constantly crooked & falling off. I was afraid to bend the arm back straight to try super glue since it was so close to being broken through completely & in my experience super glue really only works as a temporary fix for something like this that will be regularly handled. Using Bondic took me less than 5 minutes to fix them & it felt strong and permanent within that time. I used a small metal file to make a few quick tiny grooves where I was applying Bondic & one thin layer around the cracked portion with about 8 seconds of LED curing was all I needed. Bending them back straight to do this didn't break them all the way through so I was just using Bondic to hold the crack back together, but I'm confident that even if it had been two unconnected pieces this would've worked great. Since that worked so well & took barely any time I decided to add a little to the front end of the arm where it touches the frame to make the arms unfold outward less for a tighter fit. I used a fingernail file for that just to see if it worked with less filing/texture to adhere to & it was just as effective. Remember to use rubbing alcohol or an alcohol wipe on the area you're applying to to get rid of any dirt or oil from skin. Instead of just sticking pieces together & leaving the crack exposed to potentially break apart again Bondic puts a hard barrier around the breakage. I'm still amazed at how hard & strong it feels after only seconds & find myself sitting here trying to think of anything else I can go use it on.

This stuff is wonderful for gluing anything you can get the ultraviolet to. It works very well on soft plastic. On hard plastic like automotive plastic it works again on the outside where you can get the ultra violet light too. For crafts like sealing elastic on bracelets...etc...it is ideal. I have used it to hold a broken car faceplate and knob together while I used JB Weld to glue the parts I would be unable to get the UV too. Because of the speed of it hardening, it made these jobs so much easier.

So nice to have a product that unlike the Cyanoacrylates of this world, is easy to use, no sticking your fingers together, and gives a great bond. I especially liked that you can layer this product over itself in 1.5mm thicknesses. It allowed me to seal a leaking tap, it took the pressure of the running water, and although it had a small leak after the initial two applications, spot "plastic" welding allowed these small leaks to completely seal. Great product, now I am looking for any other applications around the house, just so I can use it.

Estuve investigando que seria lo mejor para pegar el cuerpo de mi DRON que se cayo y se rompio un brazo de la Helice, no cualquier pegamento y no es tan facil confiar cuando va a estar sometido a vientos fuertes.. FInalmente supe que varios han reparado su dron con este producto y lo probe! Excelente porque te permite trabajar en las uniones con un "pegamento" liquido y cuando estas listo para solidificar solo pones la lampara UV incluida en el kit unos segundos y queda super solido. Lo mejor es hacer tu reparacion en capas delgadas e irlas solidificando asi logre una excelente reparacion!.
