I was a little cautious starting out because benzoyl peroxide can be drying if you overdo it, but used as a leave-on treatment in the way I've been applying it my skin has handled it really well. A little goes a long way so the 20g tube has lasted much longer than I expected. What I appreciate most is that it gets to work relatively quickly. I started noticing a difference within the first couple of weeks — existing breakouts clearing up faster and new ones appearing less frequently. It doesn't happen overnight but the improvement is consistent and steady which tells me it's actually treating the issue rather than just masking it. The cream texture is smooth and applies easily without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. It absorbs well and sits comfortably under moisturiser without pilling or feeling uncomfortable throughout the day. For a medicated cream the formulation feels surprisingly pleasant to use. Affordable, effective, and does exactly what it claims. If you've been going around in circles trying different acne treatments this is genuinely worth adding to your routine. I received this product with an expiration date of May 2026. It is already two months out of date. Also, this appears to be the Benzac cream and not the gel. Even though the tube says gel on it, there is the cream on the inside.
