I have to get labs every 4 to 6 months on my hormone levels, so I have been able to see the impact it has had on ny free test levels. Not total test though. I went from low to mid range free test to decently above range with the addition of this. There are lots of studies on the compound, especially in older men. I used those studies to pick a dosage start. End up backing down the dose when I had a side effect start to show. I recommend the 25 mg size (versus the 50 or 100mg caps) so its easier to tailor the dose based on your own bodys physical and health related feedback.

DHEA along with metformin zinc and HGH are being studied for anti-aging effects in the trim trial. The goal of the study is to regenerate the thymus gland which is where immune cells are trained. As humans age the thymus gland shrinks and therefore the ability to train immune cells decreases. So far the study has shown positive anti-aging effects and on average has reported patients experiencing on average 2.5 years of age reversal. Some patients have even experienced gray hair reversal. Obviously you cannot do this protocol identically at home. However if you do your research you can find alternatives to replicate some aspects. My hormone whisperer PA recommended tester one since my levels were 0%. She would have put me on a compound pharmacy prescription for $95 per month, but that was not in my budget. So she recommended DHEA as an alternative. Not sure if it’s taking DHEA (25 mg) or my HRT kicking in, but I do feel better with brain fog, energy, and fatigue. The only issue I have with the DHEA is feeling some nausea a few hours after taking them. But, to resolve that issue, I eat a little something and the nausea goes away. It does take about 5 minutes for it to dissolve under your tongue and I don’t think it tastes as awful as some other reviews have said. I put these on a subscription because I will keep on taking them and may even bump myself up to 100 mg at some point.

I've been taking these for a while. I'm perimenopausal and can't afford HRT, so I've been using these. A few weeks ago, I ran out and couldn't replace them immediately, so I went a little over a week without them. I could tell a HUGE difference. I have a list of symptoms a mile long and they all came back when I stopped these. I was able to get more amd started taking them again yesterday. I can't wait to feel somewhat normal again! But if you're going through peri, but can't afford HRT these are a great alternative. This won't bring you back to yourself 100% but this at least brings symptoms down to tolerable levels.

This has been a very helpful addition to my supplement routine, similar to pregnenolone. I started taking it as part of supporting hormone balance, as levels naturally decline with age.
