Works well & takes up little space!
Charming and petite. Great for tight spaces in the freezer. Itโs a fairly complete set up. Fill the trays. When frozen, invert, use the blue โlidโ to press on the inverted tray, over the little container, and the cubes pop out. I made the mistake of overfilling the trays, and the lid didnโt work as well, however, it was simple to press the inverted tray with your fingers and all the cubes came out easily. There is even a handy little scoop. It only holds about 3-4 cubes, but is better than a spoon for that purpose. Works well, takes up little space, and provides 2 trays of ice at a time. The container doesnโt really hold more than the 2 trays of ice, so if you are making more ice and the container is full, youโll need to store the ice in something else. But I really like the set up and my freezer is the drawer-type, so the small size is perfect and I really do like ice in my beverages in summer.

Easy to use
This ice cube tray is well designed and easy to use. The lid fits securely, helping prevent spills and keeping the ice from absorbing freezer odors. The tray is sturdy but flexible enough to release the cubes without much effort. I also like the included storage bin, which keeps everything organized and makes it easy to grab ice when needed. Itโs compact, doesnโt take up much space in the freezer, and I havenโt had any leakage issues. Overall, itโs a great value and Iโd definitely buy it again.

Don't let it thaw out first!
Love this! its so perfect for my tiny freezer and it does hold a surprising amount of ice cubes in there (i can prob fit 2.5 trays worth of ice in the container). I have the 2 tier and I can get by with 3-4 iced drinks in the week before needing to make more ice. Some reviews and the product description itself are saying to let the trays thaw out for a couple minutes before punching out the ice, but I DON'T recommend this! It actually makes the ice prone to sticking to each other once you put it back in the freezer because they're basically wet again. It really does not take a lot of effort or muscle to punch them thru while its freshly frozen. I love that it has a lid to keep the ice odor-free and tasting clean! The size of the ice is small, but it doesn't bother me and gets the job done.

Love my little "ice maker"
I love this "ice maker"! I live in a camper at the moment and I have a fridge that is sort of in-between a mini fridge and a regular fridge, so there isn't a lot of room. I was buying ice at the grocery store, which is 45 minutes from my house, so by the time I got home it was all melty and would be one huge chunk after if refroze. So I started making my own ice. I had some silicone molds but they were leaving a weird residue on my ice and the ice was really hard to get out of them. Not to mention, they were really flimsy, hard to get in the freezer without spilling them, and the ice was very difficult to remove. Once I got the ice out, I had nowhere to put it other than a ziploc bag. This "ice maker" solved all of those problems! It fits perfectly in my small freezer. I can't stack the ice trays on top of the bin due to my shelf, but that's okay. The ice trays are rigid, except for the bottom where you push the ice out, which makes filling and moving them to the freezer so much easier than the silicone molds. I haven't spilled a drop yet. I'm not sure why my silicone molds left a white residue on my ice, maybe minerals from our well water or something leaching from the silicone, but these ice trays don't do that, thank goodness. It was really hard to clean off of my cups. The silicone molds would also freeze to the bottom of the freezer if they were even ever so slightly wet, but these trays don't do that either. The ice generally pops right out of these trays, especially the top tray, for some reason whichever tray is on the bottom will give me a hard time sometimes, but I promise you it's a million times better than the silicone molds where I had to fight each individual cube. I really like the way you dump the ice by pressing the lid, instead of having to fight each individual cube like with the silicone mold, they all dump at one time right I to the storage bin and you're done. The cubes aren't the biggest, but they're still a decent size and will usually last all day in my swig cup, depending on how many times I have to refill it. I can get probably 3 trays of ice in the storage bin, so I wish I'd have bought the 3 tier set. If I empty and fill the trays every time I get ice the bin stays full. We are ice-aholics at my house and my son is notorious for filling his cup, but not dumping and refilling the trays. I will go to get ice and he's left me 10 cubes. I ordered another 2 tier set because I couldn't find where to order just the trays. I'll have to make room in the freezer for one more (I have chest freezers so that's not a big deal) so that I'm never out of ice! The trays are also really easy to refill. If you overfill it's easy to dump a little out and redistribute the water amongst the cubes. There are little indents around each cube that allow the water to flow from one cube to another so that you can fill them evenly. While I would definitely prefer a real ice maker over this, I won't have one of those until my house is built, so for now this is the best option for me and I absolutely love it!

Perfect small size ice cubes
The perfect size for small spaces. This ice cube tray is stackable and very small so it fits well in my small freezer. I purchased this tray because the normal ice cube trays make ice cubes that are just too big and water down my drinks too much. The cubes are easy to release - just run hot water over the back and then pop them out individually by pushing on the rubber bottom of each cube. These would be great for making iced coffee by filling with coffee and then freezing - no dilution of the drink!

Perfect little ice cubes
Works as described. Loving the perfectly shaped little ice cubes. I have a smallish freezer so I am happy that this does not take up much space but gives a full bin of ice. Havenโt had any trouble with spills. The trays stack perfectly. The lid fits fine. Havenโt had any issues with odour. The very first time I used it there was a white-ish film on the ice cubes even though I washed the trays and ice bin before using. I ditched them, rewashed and redid the ice. No trace of white and no funny taste.

It's a Manual Ice Machine, Full of Magic!
I purchased this ice cube tray with lid and bin set on Valentine's Day, and thanks to excellent timing, it arrived at my front door yesterday... President's Day! I started the preparation process at 2:34 in the afternoon. When I opened the box, which was cold to the touch as it was waiting for me on my front porch in chilly Eugene weather, I found two really cool ice cube trays, a wonderful little ice bucket, a great and magnificent ice scoop (which kind of reminds me of one of those little shovel-style scoops you'd find in bulk bins), and a cover that works like magic! I started by cleaning all the components with warm soapy water in a dishpan, which took little more than a half an hour! While I was preparing my supper, I put all the components in the dish drainer to dry off completely. About an hour later, I put the components in my freezer on the top shelf, so they would reach optimal chilled temperature for the moment I've been waiting for. After supper, I took my 2-cup measuring cup, brought the ice trays over to the sink, and slowly poured fresh water from my refrigerated Brita filtered water pitcher into the trays. then I put the cover on, and carried the trays one at a time to the top shelf of my freezer, where I scoped out a nice space for everything. The first tray left a teensy weensy puddle on the floor, probably because I didn't have the cover on tight enough. And perhaps because I filled it up to the top! But that's OK! Those who say "don't overfill" are simply full of baloney! Filling to the top is the best way to have ice cubes full of maaaaaaaaa-gic! The second tray's freezer trip was successful without a single puddle! By 9:00 PM, they were on the way to making magical ice cubes, undisturbed! Fast forward 8 hours later, I woke up this morning at 5:23 AM (my usual wake-up time), and when I checked on the ice cubes, the first tray had nice ice cubes on one side, but a solid sheet of ice on the other side. Possibly because I used the majority of 2 cups of water to fill them, which may have led to that uh-oh puddle. Meanwhile, the second tray had ice cubes on one side, but empty homes on the other side. Simply because I didn't have enough water to fill them all! Fast Forward to 2/17/2026 at 2:49 in the afternoon. My provider witnessed the moment of magic, when I pulled the trays straight from the freezer (I didn't need to let them sit at room temperature), pressed down gently on the top and... pop pop pop! The ice cubes came out 100% clean, with no leftovers sitting in the trays, and best of all? Nothing got broken! It's a touchdown! I give this Phinox Ice Cube Tray a solid 5 stars! It's a manual ice machine, full of magic! Update: for the last two days, I've had more success with magical ice cubes, and no more "uh-oh" puddles on the floor! Wanna know the secret? What I do is put a large, wide plastic bucket underneath each ice tray when carrying them, cover on ice tray, with the tray in the center of the bucket, to the freezer. So that whatever "uh-oh" puddles may happen, they go into the bucket instead of all over the floor!

Much smaller than pictures seem to make it, very fragile, will break easily, disappointing quality
Pretty disappointing. the best feature of this product are the big Amazon ads-which make this look spectacular, which it isn't. 1) This is made with hard/brittle plastic, I don't see it lasting very long. 2) pay attention to the dimensions advertised-this is tiny, good for a small camper frig or similar, but as a main source of ice, forget it. 3) it takes forever to freeze even one tray-in 24 hours in my very cold freezer, there were still half-dozen cubes that were liquid, so I guess the plastic makes a good insulator. 4) I hate deceptive ads, which purposely try to make this bigger, more substantial than it is. It feels more like the little toy kitchen appliances made for children. so this is the new normal-downsize-quality-quantity-durability. But up the pictures, the pictures look nice. Seems the majority of these "new" style ice cube trays have one thing in common-cheapness-even the metal ones look nothing like what I had in the past. Look like one move of the handle, and it will fold in half like a cheap deck of cards. Please, doesn't anybody make good solid quality ice cube trays anymore? Even the so-called "restaurant grade" look like throwaways from a cheap garage sale-and can cost ridiculous money. Definitely would not buy these again-and almost any other ice cube trays I've seen on Amazon or elsewhere, what a shame. Upped to 3 stars-at least it does make ice cubes.

Brilliant and affordable!
YOU MAY BE A LITTLE SURPRISED THAT I HAVE GIVEN 5 STARS FOR WHAT IS JUST AN ICE CUBE TRAY, DO LET ME EXPLAIN WHY. I HAD PREVIOUSLY INVESTED IN AN ICE CUBE MAKING MACHINE, WHICH MOSTLY BASED ON OTHER REVIEWS, SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME, HOWEVER, I RETURNED THAT ONE AFTER JUST 24 HOURS! A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND CERTAINLY NOT WORTH IT'S PRICE TAG! SO BACK TO SQUARE ONE! I DIDN'T WANT TO RETURN TO USING THE GOOD OLD, BASIC ICE CUBE TRAYS OR EVEN THEM FIDDLY AND UNPREDICTABLE ICE CUBE BAGS, SO IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE BETTER THAN THESE, WITHOUT IT COSTING A FORTUNE? WELL FORTUNATELY, AND AFTER A LOT OF SEARCHING, YES! THIS VERY ITEM IS THE SOLUTION I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! YES IT'S NOT THE CHEAPEST THING AVAILABLE, BUT IT'S STILL NOWHERE NEAR THE COST OF THOSE MACHINES! I BOUGHT THE 2 LAYER VERSION, THERE IS A 3 LAYER OPTION. YOU FILL EACH TRAY WITH YOUR PREFERRED CHOICE OF WATER, I USE STRAIGHT FROM A FILTER JUG, JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO FILL EACH TRAYS LEVEL TO THE TOP, BECAUSE AS THE CUBES FREEZE, THEY EXPAND AND WILL BE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE, I FILLED MINE TO THE VERY TOP, BUT THEN GENTLY TIPPED EACH TRAY UNTIL THE WATER LEVEL WAS A LITTLE BELOW THE TOP OF EACH SQUARE. I DECIDED TO FILL BOTH OF THE 2 TRAYS SUPPLIED, AS EACH ONE SITS COMFORTABLY ON TOP OF THE OTHER, PLACE THE LID ON AND POP INTO THE FREEZER, KEEPING IT LEVEL OF COURSE. ONCE FULLY FROZEN, TAKE THE LID OFF AND REMOVE BOTH TRAYS, TURN ONE TRAY OVER AND PLACE BACK INTO THE CONTAINER, POP THE LID BACK ON AND PRESS EVENLY ACROSS THE LID, THE ICE CUBES WILL POP OUT INTO THE STORAGE BOX, NOW REMOVE THE EMPTY TRAY AND REPEAT WITH THE SECOND TRAY. ONCE BOTH TRAYS HAVE BEEN EMPTIED INTO THE STORAGE BOX, YOU CAN, IF YOU WANT TO, RE-FILL THE TRAYS AND REFREEZE ONCE AGAIN, THIS SHOULD THEN BE ENOUGH TO FILL THE STORAGE BOX UP. IT MAKES DECENT SIZE, FULLY FORMED, SQUARE ICE CUBES THAT DON'T TEND TO MELT WITHIN SECONDS! CONSIDERING THE PRICE, THE SIZE, THE COLOUR OPTIONS AND EASE OF USE, I CONSIDER THIS ITEM TO BE A GREAT PURCHASE AND I'M MORE THAN HAPPY TO RECOMMEND IT. A SIMPLE, BUT VERY EFFECTIVE ITEM!

I see.
This 3 layer ice cube tray set is a very compact and stylish design. The soft bases in the cube molds make cube extraction simple and fast using the extractor plate that has small prongs designed to help press out the cubes from the flexible base of the molds. Having three stacked layer trays means that it fits within tighter spaces in the freezer. The storage tray mounted beneath the tray stack adds to the space efficiently. A small trowel to collect ice cubes is a convenient extra. The ice cubes are perhaps a little smaller than you might usually be accustomed to but I believe this not a disadvantage; you can use cubes sparingly or as multiples if required. I selected this item because of the need to store juice from a prolific fruit bearing lemon tree; too many to consume but worthy of juicing for later use. A good overall. choice
