Winsor & Newton Designer's Gouache, 14ml tube, Primary Yellow

How did I not know how spectacular this is in terms of quality, and versatility, but even more so exactly the kind of paint you need when you’re looking for something to create abstract artwork using what someone might consider unique disciplines of art. It takes very little to create something incredible with this paint as it provides exactly what you need to including ….texture, blending, opaque or muted dimension even splashes of white with shadows of all different depths - every artist I know be blown away. It definitely give it a try , it’s white after all you’ll use it no matter what . I was going to get a tube of the da Vinci gouache, as I needed to have something that you could wake up with a spray bottle on the canvas and out of the many professional brands I’ve used that hit the spot until now, I’ve used many different products and specifically paints made by this brand, from this experience, I’m definitely going to do a deep dive into their gouache, as if all of their colors are like this any artist that is able to use will feel like they have found the ultimate treasure. While the tube seems small upon arrival, a little goes a long way and for me to say that means it’s beyond true lol. So all around fantastic value for money for such a wonderful experience with incredible ease of use. In terms of durability, only time will tell in terms of how it lasts on the canvas, but if the review is calling for durability in terms of how it’s packaged, I give it an A plus all around as it was extremely well packaged to prevent any issues upon delivery. I highly recommend this for every artist.

Excellent gouache. Windsor paints are the best

This is a great white Gouache for snow sprinkles and added snow painted to objects in Winter scenes! Good coverage.

Just as awesome as I expected and knew it would be.

I love the color but it is more difficult to work with than my finetec gold palette. I use this for practicing or on projects that are not commissions. I put it in a palette and let it dry overnight. I have to work more to get the pigment onto the brush, but it's a beautiful color once you get it there. I suppose you could use it straight from the tube but I feel that wastes more product than necessary. I would recommend this if you want to try a gold and do not want to invest in a more expensive option.

I use this color, along with a few other colors, to face paint with family and community events. Safe to use on the skin.

The gouache by Winsor and Newton is amazing. It can be used alone but I mostly use it in combination with watercolors for areas of my paintings that I want to be solid color and for backgrounds. Sometimes I add a dab here and there to finished watercolors for just a touch of extra vibrant color. The permanent white is a great, bright white for highlights. They are quite expensive, perhaps purchase just one or two colors to start and add to your collection over time. You can use white gouache and add regular watercolor paint to it to give it color, which is useful and economic. I am attaching some pictures of my paintings where I incorporated gouache. Sometimes the paint can look patchy if you don’t apply it in a thin enough layer. You can see that effect in the ladybug image. To get as even a background as possible I like to do 2-3 thinned down layers of gouache. It makes a smooth, non reflective background and in black it’s almost like velvet. I highly recommend these quality gouache paints!

Amazon hat mir eine bereits geöffnete Tube Gouache zugesendet (Vertiefter Daumenabdruck, zum Rausdrücken der Farbe, sowie Farbe am Verschluss und Ende der Tube). Das geht gar nicht, denn ein Tübchen Winsor & Newton Gouache ist nicht günstig!!

Por ahora lo utilizo para dar los brillos altos con lapices de color prismacolor premier. Cubre muy bien y cunde mucho.
