It has a pungent smell
Taste wise it's pretty average. It's not something as extravagant as one would think. But the bigger disappointment is tte smell that's a bit hard to ignore unless you've already have had a taste of thus product.JUST A NOTE THERE ARE BETTER CHILLI OIL AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET

Absolutely fantastic chilli oil! I love it so much I’m having it especially packed for the US. It has made me eat eggs daily cause I have fallen in love with chilli oil eggs. Also priced decently. No nasty ingredients

Too costly - there is much better alternative
It's ok, nothing that stands out as compared to other chilli oils.I really prefer Yu chilli oil, that tastes better than this with much lesser price (nearly half for the same quanty) and that has no alarming ingredients just like this one.So I don't see why should anyone buy this for such high price
