LAB FISH MS3 Magnetic Stirrer Mixer Stir Plate

The machine works as intended, but I bought it for magnetizing nail polish, and for that it's just meh. In order to get a good glass bead you have to hold your nail towards the magnets or it will be very diffuse. Completely defeats the purpose of being able to rest my nail easily on a magnet for two minutes. Again, not what this stirrer is intended for, so I'll give it 5 stars for being quiet and easy to adjust the speed of the spin. If you want something for magnetic polish I'd suggest finding a device with bearings to keep the spin going and right over your nail, not underneath. There's a few 3d printed ones out there, I'm going to try one and hopefully it goes better than this. I have seen where people put the 3d printed magnet with bearings on top of this machine, and it spins the device with no input from the user. Maybe I'll try that and this purchase won't be a total loss.

I purchased this out of ongoing frustration with a competing item that was literally only a few dollars cheaper. Below is a list of all of the items this stirrer aces, and which the marginally cheaper version bombed. 1. The top plate thoughtfully has its center clearly marked, making it VERY easy to align the center of the container whose contents are to be stirred and the stir bar directly over the magnetic center. This eliminates small and light containers from being jostled into a new position if one had to guess at the actual physical center position. 3. The stir bar starts moving when the unit is turned on, even at its slowest speed. Lesser models require turning to a sufficiently high speed for the stir bar to "catch", then the speed turned down to something usable. 4. The power jack is high quality, and the included power supply appears to be very high quality as well 5. This unit is basically silent! Compared to others with loud motors, this just spins the stir bar in almost complete silence. The quality of this unit belies its low price. The packaging, the magnetic stir bars, and stir bar retriever tool are also much higher quality than I'd expected, and I'm VERY impressed with quality and value of this stirrer.

Works perfectly for my 2000ml yeast starters. The magnets it comes with never get thrown off balance. 2nd one I purchased because the first one was so great (I make multiple starters at a time)

Item works fine, I used a cocktail stirring glass but you might actually need something where the bottom isn’t as thick for it didn’t really work for me for what I needed it for. I’m going to keep it anyway I’m sure I will use for it in the future.

I bought this for glass bead manicures, but I'm actually finding it quite useful for its actual purpose lol. I will use it with coffee or tea that has honey or sweetener in it to keep it thoroughly mixed so it doesn't get too sweet once I get to the bottom of my beverage. I also found that it thoroughly mixed an old liquid IV that I found in my travel bag.

My old stirrer was starting to get flaky and died completely yesterday. Figured I'd give an inexpensive stirrer a try and ordered one. It came in next day and immediately put to use. I was a little worried initially because this thing is super light. Put a beaker on and turned it on.....amazing! Super stable spin...way better than my old one, and a 1/4 the cost. So 5 stars....works very well and has more than enough power for my uses. I may get a second one to save some time on my day to day stir sessions.

I use this thing like 5 times a day... Whenever you need to stir drinks and such this does it for you perfectly while you go do other stuff. Easy to clean and is perfect;y reliable and durable. Zero problems and is actually the most used thing in my kitchen! I just works...

I use these in 500 ml masons with mycology medium, and the stirrer works perfectly for those. It seems strong enough to do larger containers as well, but I did not test larger containers. The single stir bar included is weaker than the ones I purchased separately, but even it does the job on the masons I tried. The stirrer works perfectly with smaller jars, likely to at least a liter, maybe two depending on how vigorous a stir is needed. It is perfect for my small mycology medium jars.

So far works great. Decent quality.

Le petit aimant n'a pas trop la fâcheuse tendance à partir dans tous les sens lorsqu'on accélère un peu trop la rotation, comme le faisait mon appareil précédent. Je suis satisfaite.
