I had my contractor install a rainfall showerhead at the wrong height so I purchased this to fix my mistake. It works!!! What a life saver. The nickel color is perfect, and this added 16" above my head, when previously the old shower head would've been only 1" above my head. To anyone doing this for the first time, make sure you if you're using plumbers tape that you use it in the proper direction to make sure when you tighten it, it doesn't come undone. Google it!

Securely packaged and excellent quality. The finish is perfect (brushed gold). Included "teflon" tape and instructions, and the flange has a rubber seal which should prevent water from leaking into the wall. Very nice.

I love this!! It’s exactly what I needed and wanted for my custom master bathroom shower fully tiled. It’s a beach front rental and the plumber installed the shower line too low for taller people so this is perfect. The plumbing is deep in the wall so I also needed to purchase an extension to come out of the wall which is why you see brass color on the end until my nickel colored extension comes in the mail from Amazon to replace. The brass coupling was all they had in stock at homedepot but I wanted to test it out. No issues at this time but will update if it leaks or has issues. I got the largest size for my shower and it’s perfect for me. Make sure you use plumbers take before screwing in to the wall and attaching your shower head or it will leak like any plumbing you install and is threaded.

This was delivered this morning and took all but a few minutes to remove my old shower arm and install this beauty. One of the easiest upgrades I’ve ever done. No need for any tools, you can do it all by hand! Just don’t forget Teflon tape and to slip on the flange BEFORE you screw the arm into the wall. I paired it with a 12 in round rain shower head. One small issue I had is that my shower stub out was further in the wall than expected. I would have liked to tighten the arm another full turn but the flange is quite thick and is already stuck at the first bend so I wouldn’t be able to tighten the arm anymore without damage to the arm or flange. It’s tight enough and doesn’t leak but it would give me peace of mind to have it just a bit tighter. I may swap the flange for a thinner profile one in the future. Simple fix so not a big deal.

Did the trick and allows for a nice height to the showerhead, and the angular design looks good, specially with square showerhead IMO. Pipe felt lighter than I was expecting, but otherwise no issues with the fit or finish, and I am happy with the end look. Comes with plumbers tape, but I also recommend using a bit of pipe dope (e.g. ASIN B0012YO0Z4) lightly on the tape afterwards to ensure there are no leaks within the wall. Installation only took about 5 minutes. Final Thought - good for getting extra height and asthetically pleasing.
