SONGMICS Adjustable Wooden Piano Bench Stool with Sheet Music Storage Black ULPB57H

I bought this bench to replace one that came with my Kawai digital piano which did not adjust. I was worried, based on the price, that this bench would look cheesy, be poorly made, or be difficult to assemble. None of that concern was necessary. It was very easy to assemble even with the included wrench (that wrench isn’t comfortable to use being a simple stamped piece of metal, but you certainly don’t need power tools or even a “real” wrench/ratchet to put this bench together). Like most assemble-yourself furniture, I imagine I’ll have to tighten the bolts in a few months (there’s only four, they’re big, and they’re easy to get to). The pleather seat is MUCH more comfortable than my previous bench and actually not noticeably less comfortable than the artist bench I own from Steinway (which sells for nearly nine times the price). The pleather also looks really nice with even stitching and buttons. The matte finish of the vinyl top contrasts nicely with the high gloss finish of the legs and frame. 2 things are less than perfect: 1. The storage capacity under the seat is minimal as others have noted. It’s about 1 inch deep. However, I only use it for the owner’s manual and accessory cables that go to my digital so that’s really minor. 2. The knobs for adjusting the height of the bench look pretty cheap. They stick out pretty far- think King Charles’ ears- and the plastic they are made of is not aesthetically pleasing. Couldn’t they have been made of wood or metal like other parts of the bench? This is also a minor quibble (I suppose you could replace them if you wanted to) of an otherwise great bang-for-your-buck product. If you need an adjustable bench, this really should be the one you buy.

We decided to do virtual piano classes for our littles because COVID. We started a lesson on posture and found out the bench that came with the piano was way too low - so we tried stacking books, using blankets, etc. It was just too much finagling and went to amazon for solution. We found this bench and ordered it because it was pretty reasonable price-wise and looked nice. When it arrived, it didn't come with an instruction booklet, but I found it easily on the Amazon product page. Honestly, it was really easy to assemble and we didn't need instructions but I like to be thorough. So far it's been over a week and we've been really happy with it. It raises more than high enough for our kiddos and it's really helped their posture. Also it seems like it's really sturdy, but if anything changes will update my review.

Overall, I'm content with this purchase. We were looking for alternatives that would boost up our daughters when they're playing the piano -- and I was very surprised to discover that piano-booster *cushions* could run $50-$100. So, I bought this cushioned, adjustable bench in lieu of buying non-adjustable cushions for our non-cushioned bench. In that regard, it's a nice value. Also, the bench is comfortable, it adjusts well and thereby serves its purpose, it doesn't wobble which was nice, and the storage space is adequate for our purposes. My only minor gripe is that the frame of the bench that we received is not "square" (i.e., 90-degree square). So, when I assembled the legs and tightened them to the frame, the legs are not flush with the frame and are slightly askew. No one would notice it unless they're specifically looking for it, and as noted above, the bench doesn't wobble because of it. So, I didn't think it was worth the hassle to exchange it. Even so, I'm the type of person who'll be mildly bothered by that for the entire time that we own the bench. Because of that, I reduced my rating by one star. I suspect that this is an isolated issue, and that this bench would be a legit 5-star product for many people.

I received this bench today. It’s very easy to set up. It looks very well made, no awful smell. Everything meets my expectation right now. I will see how long this will last. But so far I think it’s great.

I LOVE this bench! I'm only 4'11" and since I can now sit higher, my hand position feels more comfortable and movements are more free. There is less storage than my all wood piano bench, but enough space for a couple of music collection books and some sheets. It was easy to assemble. Screw in the 4 legs and you're done. (Picture a 74 year old lady piecing this together. If I can do it, ANYone can do it!) The seat is very comfortable - but keep in mind that I'm comparing it to a wooden piano bench.

This is so much more comfortable than the fixed wooden bench that came with my piano! The adjustable height is great for those of us who would otherwise have the keys at our chest and for those who don’t need any extra height. The knobs on the side are easy to turn and adjust quickly — perfect for recitals when I have multiple pianists of different sizes right after each other. The bench is stable and doesn’t creak or squeak when you move. Assembly is easy and self-explanatory, and it comes with a wrench to tighten everything. I also love that the feet have little rubber pads so they don’t scratch my hardwood floors or slide around.

Comfortable, solid and concert hall attractive!

I would not recommend and will most-likely return. There is very very minimal storage space, and the product itself is fairly flimsy and unsturdy. It looks nice- but paint is already chipping off the legs. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Everything about this is satisfactory. Well packed and rock solid even when adjusted high. This was one of the cheaper stools, I bought it because it has storage under the seat and is adjustable. The storage is more than adequate for the keyboard user guide and some music and other odds and ends. Seat cushion is comfortable and assembly takes just a few minutes with the included tool. Has plastic/rubber non slip pads on legs which also protect flooring. Don’t need to pay more for a branded product. Recommended.

Me encantó!! es muy cómodo y se ve de buena calidad para el precio, además es muy bonito ✨ tiempo atrás había comprado uno plegable que era muy inestable en su altura máxima y el soporte de mi piano digital no podía bajar más, asi que era muy incómodo ya que sentía que no estaba a la altura adecuada... pero este nuevo taburete además de cómodo y estable tiene la altura perfecta y aún se puede aumentar!!, estoy demasiado muy satisfecha con esta compra!!
