Easy to use, good price, could do with 1 tweak...
This kit is really easy to use and faaaaar more accurate than dip strips. You drop a tablet into the tube, give it a little bit of water to dissolve it, then add water until the colour changes. Same process for alkalinity and hardness. I used the kit to test my filtered water for the purpose of brewing fancy coffee rather than maintaining a hot tub, so my requirements might be slightly different although the process is obviously the same. The one improvement that would make me a repeat customer would be a few more graduating me on the cylinder. As it is, you don't get any granularity below 80 mg/ml, and unfortunately I'm working with water that has a lower alkalinity than that. I think I've managed to get a decent estimate, but it seems that they could easily fit another couple of graduations on the cylinder and that would make reading lower values far easier. Overall though, I'm pretty happy with it and would recommend it. Especially if your requirements aren't quite as tight as mine.

Doesn't work
Water hardness test remains blue. Try both softened and non softened taps, no colour change to violet.
