I have an HDMI splitter that has 2 inputs and 8 outputs. I have my computer plugged in slot 1 and my fire stick in slot 2 I can send either the computer on 8 screens or firestick on those screens. One of my tvs would not show my computer, and a blue screen would show OUT Of RANGE, for that particular monitor when I used the computer side of the HDMI splitter. I tried several HDMI cords with the same results. After using some language that you will not find in a Sunday school literature. I saw this item on amazon and I purchased 2 of them, as the monitor has vga input as well as HDMI, I plugged the HDMI end of the cord into the splitter and used the VGA end to the monitor that was saying OUT OF RANGE, and it worked perfectly. I thank the company because I am very satisfied with the product, but I need to repent for the language that I used.

I had just received a new computer, and my monitors of the older units had the older connections and not an HDMI. So this item solved how I could connect with the new computer, and it worked fine. It was a short solution because I soon upgraded to HDMI, and after that had no use for this device.

I have a graphics card that has 3 Displayports, 1 HDMI and 1 DVI - D. This HDMI to VGA cable did the job connecting to my 4th monitor with no issues what so ever. Finding connectors for that rare or weird monitor can be difficult at times. especially when the monitor is VGA and Displayport only and the only open slots left on my graphics card are HDMI and DVI - D. this is the CHEAPEST and MOST EFFECTIVE method if youre looking to do HDMI to VGA. Remember DisplayPort and HDMI(from GPU unit) are downgrade-able to DVI and VGA(monitors, TV, Projectors). You just have to find the right cable/adapter and most importantly make sure the cable is going the right direction. Overall very good quality cable. its thing profile so its easy to hide. when i first got the package i didnt even think it was the correct size because the cable was so thin. 10/10 will purchase again.

I think the reviews here pertain to multiple variations of this product. I ordered the one with male VGA to HDMI that should allow connection from an older video card to an HDMI monitor. It's hilarious that this is just a cable with no active function!!😂😅 I mean sure yeah you can connect the ends just fine - just don't expect any video to be transferred to the HDMI input

Straight from card worked perfectly on an older video projector and a new laptop. Plenty of length. Can't beat it for the price.

Our HDMI on our laptop failed, and this adapter allowed us to hook up from VGA. Saved us from having to replace the laptop.

I had a monitor that kept turning off every now and then. I narrowed it down to being the cable. I bought this cable and there is no more intermitent switching off of the monitor anymore.
