Four Flags Quick Muzzle, Large, Blue

I found a starving, rabid, wild wolf outside the community pool the other day. He seemed so sad and lonely chomping on the fence and making those sad snarling noises. I knew I had to help. I named him "Kitty" and took him home. Unfortunately, after only a couple days in my studio apartment, I started getting complaints from my neighbors. They universally thought he was too monochromatic and needed a colorful collar, or a nice Christmas sweater. I tried everything, but my wolf didn't like color. We shopped at all the finest pet stores, but couldn't find anything we liked. Luckily, during a visit to the vet, while applying pressure to a minor bite wound, the veterinary assistant asked if I'd ever considered a muzzle. I, of course, had not, as I'd never felt the need to try one on as I don't talk that much in public. She recommended I try the Four Flags Large, Quick Muzzle, Blue, so I bought it. It didn't fit me very well, but Kitty practically bit my head off trying to put it on himself, so I let him keep it. He wears it everywhere. But the best part is, his teeth grinding at night is now gone. And my lower leg is healing nicely, too.

I got this for my ill-mannered Pitbull’s vet appointment. He’s not people-aggressive, but his mom was dog-aggressive so I wanted it just as a precaution. We practiced with it for about a week before, and at first he pawed at it and hated it, but I gave him treats with it on and he got used to it. We wasn’t able to get it off at the house. But at game time, I guess he got serious—because he had that thing off in about 10 seconds. So don’t rely on this if you have an aggressive dog, or if you need it for safety reasons. Go with the Hannibal Lecter-style leather and metal. It’s ugly and a bit dramatic, but at least it will keep everybody safe.

I ordered this muzzle because it is the one my vet uses in their office. I wanted my dog to have their own and not one used on many other dogs. It slips right over the nose and mouth, and you clasp it behind their ears on the back of the head. It is snug to prevent biting or nipping, but allows the dog to breathe. The size I purchased fits a female German Shepherd. There are sites under the brand name that can help you with accurate sizing when ordering.

I take partial blame for this but I need to warn others that this is a very cheap product. I have a white German Sheppard. She hates getting her nails clipped so I decided to get a muzzle to make things a lot easier for she & I (bach's rescue remedy & a really good hemp oil help to sooth her through the emotional horror of the ordeal-aka she just a big jerk). I sit this muzzle, along w/ the rest of the stuff to get the job done, next to her. I forgot something so I walked in the other room, gone for a few seconds, & when sit down next to her I notice she chewed right through the strap on one side. Not sure if it's my fault, the cheap crappy muzzle's or my Princess Penelope Pinky Pie's fault? I decided that it's mostly my fault. I shouldn't have walked away. No i take that back. I should have spent more money on a better quality muzzle.

We own a vicious dog who had to be seen by our vet. The vet had me put this muzzle on the dog. I was so impressed I ordered it online via my phone while waiting for the vet to write up the dog's prescriptions. It was great since I knew the fit was good, it's well made, and allowed for a very beneficial, stress-free vet visit! :)

Just received in a timely manner, so I haven’t used yet. Tried it on my 47 lb border collie/ Aussie mix and it fits perfect. Looks very similar to the one my vet uses on him, gentle and less stressful in my opinion. I will update post if different.

I am very pleased with this muzzle. I bought it for my two-year-old female Belgian Malinois. Though seldom used it’s just what is needed when I want to trim her claws. She weighs about 60 pounds and a Size Large is a good fit.
