Love this brand, edible unlike some that say on them,not for internal use, what ever that means

This is a great product. I use it to prepare homemade chocolate chips. There was a problem with the order - it was melted when it arrived. The customer service at this company is absolutely awesome. They offered a refund and a $5 credit. I told them that was not necessary because they do not control the weather but they issued a refund anyway. Luckily I found the product at an organic store close to me. That means I can still support this small business that goes above and beyond in customer service.

I use for a body butter, it came melted. Still used it although it took longer to melt. Easy to use, smells great, worth the money.

We shop at stores where we can get Navitas products, but they have never had the Cacao wafers. We made some great tasting stuff with these. Highly recommend.

But I gave this 4 stars for an obvious reason others also said. First one I bought was wafers. They are separate, and the quality was beyond excellent. You could smell cocoa in the package and as you picked them up to use. It's like it was just harvested. That's how fresh it is. Ehe ingot the first batch, it was hardy. That could be because it was early spring. The second time I ordered, itnwas slightly cooler weather but early autumn, and this might have led to their melting and fusing into a clump. These do melt and thin out your chocolate candy easily. They are soft but firm, so they won't entirely hold up in hot weather solo. But for the product you're getting and the job it does, I can't beat the price for it. Other brands are way more money than this one. I can't even get this quality at this price at my local confectionery craft shop! For the second order that fused into a clump, I'll just pull out my microplane hand grater (not the rasp for nutmeg, but the actual hand grater) to get it to a usable state. I suggest others that have had this happen to do so.. and experience softer hands while doing that and the wonder smell of cocoa. Meanwhile, back to molding chocolate that isn't like mortar! And consider your ordering dates if you really need it as wafer discs... But I assure you that whether they are discs or grated, they will work either way!

Product is a great product. The Cacao, is very pungent with the smell and flavor of Cacao and raw, by itself is tasty, creamy and wonderfully uplifting. It has made for wonderful food stock, and skin and beauty products in our home. This has been our "go-to" brand. I would absolutely continue to purchase because the quality is top tier. That said, price gouging on this product is obvious and I will refuse to purchase it again until the company corrects, their theft under the guess of tariffs. To explain further, the price on 1 August 2024, was $11.99 for 8 oz. The price on 23 August 2025, a year later is $29.85 for 8 oz. More than double the cost a year ago. Tariffs can be the reason for the price increase, as the origin country, only has a 10% tariff on it and all packaging, etc. is sourced from countries with a maximum of 15% tariff. I can under a price increase to $13 - $15 given 1.3% inflation and a potential 18% in overall tariff increases, not a 150% increase in one year, without reason or cause.
