Rhino USA 8T Super Shackle Set (2-Pack) (Black.)

Have not installed them yet. Review is based on initial impressions only. These are heavy. Quality steel. Well machined. Excellent paint. I’m sure a lot of people will have issues with them being made overseas (China) but so is the phone or computer they will use to make a comment with. Plan is to install these on a TRD Sport using demon brackets I purchased on Amazon but I may get a set for f recovery points from BPFabricating.com instead. I own other Rhino USA products and they are great.

I love this company. I love their customer service. I love everything else of theirs I own. I love what they do for the off-road community. I was an early purchaser of this product and was eager to get them. They are beefy. And that could be an understatement. The fact they come with the silencers is also nice. There's just one problem. Where most shackles have a hole in the pin, they've decided to fill it in and stamp a pretty star. You wouldn't think this was such a huge deal until you go to actually use them. What do we all use that hole in the pin for? A screwdriver to tighten or loosen the pin. I don't care who makes the shackle, the threads are going to freeze themselves up a little. It's inevitable. Either from the pull or just hanging around on your tow hook. You will need that little hole to free any shackles. I've run into it so many times, that I keep a long, thin screwdriver near my rope and soft shackles at all times. Other than that, you cannot beat what you're getting for the price. At all. Rhino USA adds that hole back into the pin and this will be a solid five-star product.

They are very well made, very sturdy looking and a good weight! They were easy to install, but too big for my bumper. They were very loose on my Ranch Hand bumper, as seen in my video. I did not want the metal from the hook and bumper hitting together so I had to return these. The measurements listed do not match the measurements of the item.

I got an email notification offering these for sale since I have other Rhino products. I thought having a set of regular shackles would be a great addition to my gear. They are well made and offer great protection and silence when attached to a bumper and left on. I do like the addition of a clip to keep the pin from rattling out and getting lost on the trail.
