Saved Recliner from a Tiny Butt-Scooting Menace
Our newest rescue is a blue wire-haired miniature dachshund who apparently believes itching is a full-time job. This dog is itchy ALL THE TIME. Not normal-dog itchy. Professional-level itchy. Olympic-level itchy. If there were a competitive butt-scooting event, she'd be bringing home gold medals. Before these bites, she had developed a favorite hobby: rubbing her rear end on the metal rails of our recliners. Not the carpet. Not a dog bed. The metal rails. She was basically sanding her butt bald one inch at a time. The good news is that she absolutely loves these bites. No hiding them in food. No negotiations. No dramatic Oscar-worthy performances about being poisoned. She takes them quickly and happily. For our mini dachshund, they seem to kick in fast and provide about four hours of relief. During that time, she transforms from "itch-powered demolition machine" into a normal dog who can relax without trying to exfoliate herself on household furniture. Are they a miracle cure? No. But they give both the dog and the recliners a much-needed break. Five stars from me, the dachshund, and especially the metal rails that were tired of being used as a scratching post.

Helps take the edge off without overdoing it
We use these for our rescue dog who has some anxiety from his past, and theyโve made a noticeable difference. What I like: Helps calm him without making him overly sleepy Easy to give and he takes them without a problem Good for everyday stress or situations that might trigger anxiety Things to know: Itโs not an instant fixโmore of a gentle, gradual support Results may vary depending on your dog Works best when used consistently Who this is good for: Dogs with mild to moderate anxiety Situations like separation, storms, or new environments Pet owners looking for a more natural calming option Final thoughts: These donโt completely eliminate anxiety, but they definitely take the edge off. For us, itโs been a helpful part of keeping our dog more comfortable and relaxed.

๐พ A Calm Down Win for One Corgi, A Slight Improvement for the Other
We initially started giving these to our first corgi. He grew up always having someone home with him, so being left alone gave him real anxiety. We'd play classical music on YouTube to help, but we'd still catch him pacing and crying on the security cameras whenever we stepped out. Once we added these chews, he loved the taste and was noticeably calmer while we were gone. Since it worked so well for our first dog, we figured we'd try it with our second dog too, especially since he also grew up with both of us working from home and rarely being alone. But our younger dog is a different animal entirely. Even at 1 year old he still has full puppy chaos energy, and these chews only take the edge off. He still cries, barks, and occasionally howls when left alone with the older dog, just a bit less intensely than before. These genuinely helped one of our dogs and only somewhat helped the other, which is a good reminder that every dog responds differently. Worth trying if your dog has separation anxiety, but don't expect a miracle fix for a naturally high energy or anxious dog. Might work better paired with other calming strategies for tougher cases.

SAVED OUR DOG'S LIFE!!
We love this and other products by Zesty Paws BECAUSE IT SAVED OUR DOG! Our Mischka, a rare breed Karelian Bear Dog developed a low hormone thyroid problem. By the time the vet got it under control her immune system was terribly out of whack. The vet was at a loss and didn't know what to do. He kept giving her lotions because she had lost almost all her hair and itched terribly all over. On a 60-pound dog a tube of lotion isnโt going to do much. She had scaly patches all over her that were red and inflamed and itching. She licked herself constantly to try and relieve the problem. Her skin was pink and smelled terrible. Her eyes had glazed over to the point that we thought she had cataracts and we thought we would have to put her down. She was miserable. and had a terrible life-threatening case of Candida. I figured this out by researching the internet. It happens when their digestive system and immune system is whacked out. We tried everything to help her. Finally, I found a sight that suggested a probiotic, turmeric, baths in anti-itch medicated shampoo and then rinsing with apple cider vinegar all over. After 6 months of trying everything and hundreds of dollars in vet bills we decided if this didn't work we would have to put her down. She had lost so much weight she was half her normal size and it was cruel to have her in such miserable shape. We had lost two others dogs in the last year to cancer and didn't want to lose another but we couldn't let her suffer much more. We began by giving her a bath every day and rinsing her in apple cider vinegar. She wasn't happy with us but we kept going. We changed her bedding every week. We should have changed it more but decided to wait and see if this would work. We would scrub her with a soft bath brush to make sure we got all the scales off each time in order to let her skin dry out and the vinegar get to it. We didn't have to worry about hair because it was almost all gone. We never rinsed the vinegar off nor did we dry her afterwards. We just let her run out in the yard to get dry. It was summer so that helped. After the 1st week she was looking better. The 2nd week she got even better. We were giving her the Zesty Paws Turmeric Curcumin Bites, Zesty Paws 5 in 1 Multi-vitamin Bites, Zesty Paws Calming Bites, Zesty Paws Mobility Bites and Zesty Paws Allergy Immune Supplement Bites. We were also giving her a separate probiotic for her digestive system, thyroid pills, Benadryl, and another chondroitin glucosamine pill so we had to buy the pill pockets or she would spit them out. Yes, it was expensive but cheaper than the vet bills. Besides, she is worth every penny. After two weeks we switched her to a bath every week and continued the medications and switching out her bedding. We were seeing a breakthrough. After 5 weeks her beautify black and white hair started growing back in and she was no longer pink all over and itching. She was still pink under her legs so we kept going. After 2 months all the pink was gone her skin was covered with hair and she no longer itched. Her eyes were clear and she began acting like she did when she was 5 years old. She is great now. Her beautiful hair is once again thick, soft and shiny and she has gained back her weight. Oh, I forgot to tell you she is 14 ยฝ years old. THANK YOU ZESTY PAWS FOR GIVING US BACK OUR BABY!!!!

So many little broken pieces
These used to be my favorite calming treats for my beautiful furry friend. She likes the peanut butter flavor. They do not calm her in stressful situations but do help her sleep better. I started having issues a few months or so ago when I found that while some were intact many of the treats were broken into small pieces. The amount of broken pieces just seems to increase every order. I was also ordering another product from this brand & had the same issue. They are too expensive for the quality to be at this level. I will be looking for another brand of beneficial dog treats

Poodle approved
We love these for our highly energetic poodle puppy! She is 42 pounds right now and we give her 2. They do take a little bit to work, Iโd say about 30 minutes but theyโve been a lifesaver on days we just need her to chill out a bit. She also loves taking them!

Five Stars
Let me tell you a little story about how Zesty Paws Calming Bites helped my family and our beloved pups. I have a household of three humans, three dogs and two bearded dragons. Our dogs are as followed: Aspen our eight year old German Shepherd, Reilley my six year old German Sheperd/Rotti mix, and then the main character to this tale, Ava, my momโs Catahula Cur/Pitbull mix. I adopted Ava for my mom after our oldest dog of sixteen years had to be put down. Ava was a little ball of energy but that was to be expected with her two breed make up. She was shy around the other two at first, but then she fit right in as if she was always meant to become part of our family. It was about a month or so into Ava living with us that tragedy struck. What we did not know is that Ava had been previously abused with her collar making her terrified and panic when a collar is placed over or being taken off her head. When this happens, she goes into pure horror and distress that she starts screaming like nothing I have ever heard. Well one day this happened and in all the commotion I believe Reilley thought she was hurting my mom and went after Ava. After we got them separated we knew that we could not just have them together as if nothing happened. So we consulted our vet who suggested reintroducing them slowly over a period of time. This was fine for a few days for my mom had a small vacation, but then the problem came up that the dogs would be home while everyone in the house was at work. Our vet suggested try either a crate or get a baby gate and place her into a room where she is most comfortable and feels safe. This would be my momโs room since every night she goes to bed and sleeps right next to my mom. So this is what we did while slowly starting to reintroduce them. They could see each other through the gate and get acquainted with each others scent once more and be supervised while outside. Things seem to be going well until we found out that once everyone was back at work, Ava had extreme separation anxiety from my mom. She would dig holes through her mattress, ripping out the foam and even the springs. Tear up blankets and sheets to shreds and also bit and crack the wood part of my momโs box spring. It had gotten so bad that no noise (such a music or a tv on for her), toys or clothes that smelled like my mom could help calm her down once we left. We were running out of options because we did not want to crate her. This is when I consulted my veterinarian and she suggested getting Ava either on medication she prescribed or trying some calming treats online. I have never heard of calming treats and being a kid straight from college with her first job, I was trying to save as much money as possible while still giving my animal the best care. I read a lot of reviews on so many different products when I finally came across Zesty Paws and their Calming Bites. Once they came into the mail I let Ava get used to them over the weekend and also wanted to see how they would affect her while everyone was home. I cannot thank you enough for this amazing product. Ever since getting these treats, Avaโs anxiety and over all hyper active ness has softened to the point where we are even able to leave her home overnight if need be. She is also not tearing up her toys into little tiny pieces and overall is a happier pup. They especially help when I take her one car rides for she doesnโt get car sick anymore. These treats worked amazingly for Ava and I know every dog is different and takes to medicine in different ways, but these bites really work. She loves the flavor too so that is a plus!

All but one lol
It's working wonderfully for some of the more anxious of my pack. Had to get one of the ones with no chicken or turkey duel to allergy and she love the flavor. Have another who i dont even have to say paw and he places his paw on my hand cause he like the flavor so much. Hilariously the one dog who isn't the picky eater out of them wont touch them at all no clue why but I even had her actually taste it and she spit it out. Will try some of the other non poultry flavors to see if thats the reason or not. Just found it funny that she wont eat it at all lol

Does the job but doesn't seem tasty
Took a really long time for this to arrive in Australia. Nearly over a month. My pup won't eat this whole. She takes a sniff and won't come near it, so the only way I've managed to use it is by crumbling it into her wet food mix. It seems to do a decent job at keeping her relatively chill. She can get anxiety when left alone and on the reverse spectrum can be too excitable when playing with other dogs. This has allowed her to enjoy the playtime without going too crazy. Just wish she would eat it!

5 Days in and Amazing Improvement in Dog's Anxiety!
Our 14 month dog is very noise sensitive and alert barks a lot. Sometimes she'd get herself so worked up she'd be barking every 5 minutes at any noise, and unable to relax and nap. She's also scared of anyone coming to the door, and certainly anyone coming inside the house. I was getting to the end of my tether, and feeling so bad for her that she seems so anxious all the time. We have been using these for five days now, and I have also been prioritising working with her to reinforce calm through out the day (I work from home). And I've been marking and treating her every time there is a noise that could make her nervous. I noticed a difference right from the first day of giving her a Calm Chew. She seemed less wired, and certain noises that she would normally bark at were being ignored. Now 5 days in, her alert barking has decreased by about 80% from the days when it's particularly bad! It will take longer to train her not to be scared by people coming to the door of course, but I've even noticed that she doesn't get quite so worked up and I'm able to get her to listen to me (whereas before she was simply going crazy barking and not taking any notice of me at all). I've gone from being in tears of frustration at the constant barking, to feeling optimistic that we're moving forward in teaching her how to be relaxed and happy and calm! Which, as anyone who has experienced having an anxious dog knows, is like the sun coming out again after weeks and months of clouds and rain haha. I'll certainly be continuing with these chews and purchasing again when they run out. I think that, combined with proper training, they are a godsend.
