Bankers Box 20-Pack Basic Duty File Storage Boxes with Lids, Letter/Legal, STOR/FILE, (0071302)

I needed to move a lot of paper documents to a shredding company, so I bought 20 of these boxes. The price was very reasonable. These boxes are very sturdy, I was able to fill the boxes tightly with paper and not one box broke or fell apart. I like that it has hole handles on the side to easily carry the boxes.

We initially purchased our first set of boxes for a move and figured we'd throw them out after use. However, we were pleasnatly surprised with the quality and sturdiness of the boxes even after being tossed around during the move. We were able to reuse them for storage. The small size was perfect for moving heavier things like books. The handles are a great add and make moving and stacking them a breeze. We've since bought more for other uses. Highly recommended.

These boxes are great! No tape is needed and before they are “built” they store in a very small space. They hold quite a bit of weight and have cutout hand holes. They are well made and sturdy and easy to form into the box. We are using them for moving boxes. They stack well.

Unless I have the luxury of paid help to wrap and pack my things — from mundane to cherished — moving is a drag. We moved a massive house from one coast to the other previously using hundreds of typical UHaul moving boxes. By the time we unpacked the boxes were a mess: bent and tape scarred, scribbled on and just plain ick, plus, few had “handles” or a place to grip/lift, which also led to stacked moving accidents. So, for our move back, I decided to try the banker boxes. They’re about the same price, or close. They come in small (with handles) that are perfect for heavy items like books. I reinforce the handles and inner lids with a bit of moving tape. Almost anyone can move or stack them be they are small, and neatly labeled. Both small and large sizes arrive in a tall flat box (since these come as one sheet each box, top and bottom, these are perforated) which I am using for framed picture art. It’s essentially a free box (if it arrives neatly). I’m doing things differently this time in hopes of making the move, identification and unpacking less frustrating. We are labeling items contained directly on the box label with the room/person’s name and a number 1-4, 1 being very important to 4 meaning garage or storage. I wrote small enough to cover these labels later with a sticker label so they will stack and look organized later or for a different storage. Another trick I’ve learned is to place a recycled plastic bag inside some, like books or clothing, (thick enough) to protect the items inside from bugs or water, etc. My husband was worried about the tops coming off so I bought cheap but durable flat ribbon to tie the lid securely to the box, moving the bow (for easy removal and re-use) under the top so they still stack. So far half of our house is packed and neatly stacked, waiting for the movers. The kids made the boxes! If I need to find something before the move, it is easy to do without destroying the box.

These banker boxes are great for organizing and storing documents, research, or packing lighter items. I use them to store book research and expenses in my attic—they're easy to spot and give me peace of mind. We also used them for packing my mom’s belongings; they’re not heavy-duty but work well for light to medium use. Assembly is simple, and they help keep everything neat for year-end organization. While not the best value compared to in-store options like Home Depot, the convenience of home delivery earns them 4 stars.

These are solid boxes that should last. Not as solid as some I’ve seen before, but certainly good enough to get the job done. I filled some of these with hard cover books, it didn’t stress the boxes at all. Size is good, if the boxes are full they’re not too heavy to lift. Assembly is pretty standard. Tearing the lids off was a little iffy, I found that running scissors along the perforation made it work well.

I moved and used these boxes for kitchen and bath items. I labeled the boxes and made unpacking less stressful. And now I can use them for storage and I gave some away. Also the handles made it easy to pick up the box.

They are tricky to fold , but once I got the hang of it, it was fine. They held up well while moving books.

They arrive quickly and they can be assembled quickly. Piece of cake! And they can be disassembled for easy storage or discard.

It's a bankers box...what more could you ask for. It's sturdy...and you can fill it with a lot of crap and it looks like you have some semblance of organization in your home. Can't go wrong with that. Unless you have A LOT of crap...then maybe you should search for Marie Kondo in Amazon books.
