What's the size of these blanket?

They are 44"x44" I think. The square shape is great. They are thinner than the boutique ones (which are 47" square I believe). They do get just as soft and my son, nephew, and niece are addicted to them - as are some others I know. It is slightly transparent so he can put it over his head like a ghost and isn't as apt to run into things. And when they mash the blanket over their face when sleeping it is comforting to know they won't suffocate - this is true of the boutique ones as well.

Is it cool enough for a baby born in July?

Yes! I love these swaddles and used them for all my 3 babies, even the one born in July in south Texas!

Is this a sleep sack aor a swaddle blanket?

They are large swaddle blankets. Very light weight, so perfect for any climate!

I have a similar "cheesecloth" blanket that I want to buy more of. It does not have any tags / markings. Do these blankets have any tags on them?

The tag is the best part! My two year old needs his blankie tags to go to sleep! He's almost 3 now and he's basically ripped the tags off, so I'm going to buy him a new set! I have a friend whose daughter is exactly the same way with the tags on these blankets.
