AZUREBEAUTY 4 Colors Dip Nails Powder Starter Kit

This is almost 2 weeks after I did my set over natural nails. About 3rd attemp, technique is getting better. Just don't know why it feels like it's separating from the free edge, maybe the base liquid or maybe I need to get that part down. This is 3 layers ( 1st layer don't go all the way to the cuticle but close enough), used the activator but not last liquid. Used a $20 naildrill with the pointy drill bit around top of nail bed to have a nice incline how a set usually does. Buffed the whole nail. Then used a gel no wipe polish to finish and cured with a purple uv light. All purchased here on Amazon. (Remember to not get base liquid or gel polish on skin because then it will lift faster. Can easily be removed with qtip/pointy brush and some acetone, before it dries or cures.) I hope this review might help someone that needs it.

This stuff works well ONLY if you apply at least 4 coats. If you don’t, and you follow the instructions (saying only 2 coats of dip) then you will get only a week out of your dip mani if you’re lucky. Maybe even a few days. And at that point you may as well use regular polish and skip the hassle. I was about to throw this in the trash, but finally on my fourth try I took someone else’s advice and did 4 coats of dip. Now I’m on week 3 with no chips. Otherwise it’s pretty easy to use after I’ve been watching my nail tech do it for years. It’s easy to get it off too, as long as you take the proper steps. File off the shiny stuff, then take a tiny piece of a cotton ball soaked in acetone, place it on the nail and wrap your fingertip with foil. Repeat for each nail. Wait 30 min and remove. Now I figured it out, I may purchase more colors. Minus one star for bad instructions

This is my first home dip powder set, but I'm not a novice to nail products. This set has pros and cons. It's good to buy a cheaper set to learn how to use the products but getting salon quality from this set could be tough. I love the colors and they're really vibrant. Pros: Price Color selection Kit w/ file, brush, etc Cons: Base & top coat are gummy so hard to remove with only acetone nail polish 3.21.23: I'm updating my review after trying other brands. I bought a new bottle of top coat from this brand. Compared to other brands, the brush is smaller so you have more control over how much is placed on your nails. The base coat is still not my preference, so I use a base coat & activator from another brand, and use the top coat from Azure. The colors are great and I bought more. I bought a dish that helps to save the powders when I dip to use less and that was a great investment.

Loved everything about this set! My nails are quite long and with this Dipset, you would never know that my pinky nail is literally hanging on in the middle. My son accidentally ran into my hand and broke my nail just before I was about to do them so all I did was super glue the nail to hold dipped it and it’s been holding up for a week now. I did not use the topcoat as I wanted a matte finish and they have held up so nicely. If you’re on the fence about this set, I would get it. It’s worth the money.
