Are tips round or flat? Does the lase stretch?

The laces are flat cotton, and they do not stretch. They are better than the laces that came with my New Balance shoes. I expect them to last many years. They can be removed and washed by hand in warm water and dried by hanging up, if needed

Are these laces waxed?

No, they are not waxed. They are made of washable cotton fabric. I use them for my New Balance walking shoes, and they are perfect for that.
