The O rings, bushings, and screws added great aesthetics and a strong hold on my grips. If you aren't 100, see a smitty because these are the last things you want to strip your frame

Anyone looking for affordable 1911 accessories should look no further. With the much higher prices of well-known brands, I was a bit hesitant to spend less. I was pleasantly suprised with the quality of these parts. The threading on the screws and bushings was done well, the bushings fit the frame perfectly, and screw-to-bushing fit was great as well. These even came with a decent tool to get everything tightened down. I would recommend this company, and will be trying their grips in the future.

These replaced a broken screw on a RIA 1911. The new bushing screwed right in, and the screws did, too. They fit the existing, non-broken original bushings just fine.

worked great.. some reviewers seem to have had QC and install issues.. make sure to start these by hand and rotate counter clockwise first until you feel threads catch before using a screwdriver. Anyone looking to do this yourself, be sure to use a stone ground screwdriver set like the Wheeler set here on Amazon.. the bushings are made of a good material but you need one of the wider flathead bits for this.. Wheeler's travel size version has all the flathead sizes and not very expensive. (not affiliated) if you do these steps or rather decide to have it installed professionally, I can only speak from my experience but these worked for me. p.s. be sure to use blue thread locker on all the threaded connections before install, and this well help everything stay put under vibration/shock. the o-rings on over the threads on the grip screw itself (not the bushing)

I have an older Colt 1911. Over the years I have changed my grips numerous times and unfortunately the last time I went to try some new grips, the screw bases came out of the frame. Had I not been paying attention, the old screw bases would have gone in a box with the grips. I found this set of screw bases and screws on Amazon, received them in and couldn't wait to give them a try. The bases screwed in place nice and easy; I do recommend a little drop of Lock-Tite blue to help keep them in place. My new grips look and work great, and I no longer worry about the screws coming loose. Could I have used the old bases, yes, but they are old and tired, just like me. The "Torx" screw heads added another level of "new" to my old friend. It never hurts to have some spare parts nearby when you need them.
