Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo for Dry Hair with Shea Butter, 8 fl oz

Finally found a clean shampoo that really works! Absolutely love this shampoo. It lathers well and my hair and kiddos hair feels clean and soft afterwards. The smell is not subtle but I personally love the coconut smell. My daughter’s grandpa actually complimented her shiny hair when they FaceTimed - too funny! We will be adding this as a regular shampoo and I will be ordering the conditioner next.

Desert Essence contains mostly natural and organic ingredients, so I would say it is more gentle on your hair than other shampoos may be. It has a great fragrance, but not overwhelming. I would recommend it to anyone.

The only shampoo and conditioner I buy anymore. Light fragrance and it does wonders for my hair.

I recently purchased the Desert Essence Coconut Body Wash, Coconut Shampoo and Coconut Conditioner on Amazon.com. My husband and I have used other Desert Essence products before and loved them (Tea Tree Blemish Stick- amazing on insect bites and Tea Tree Deodorant which works as well as any deodorant/anti-perspirant with loads of nasty chemicals in it) We have been big fans of coconut-smelling products for a while but I have often shied away, as a lot of them smell very sickly sweet. No one wants to end up smelling like a cupcake or a pina colada! Not so with these! We love love love all three and the smell is subtle and not sweet or overpowering. I have long hair and wash it nearly every day (terrible I know) and the shampoo and conditioner keeps my mane glossy and hydrated. I get little hints of coconut now and then throughout the day but I like that- I live in NYC and having clean smelling hair by the end of the day can be tricky. The body wash has a nice consistency and my husband loves using it. He works on construction sites in all weathers and it doesn't irritate or dry out his skin. Nice packaging- you absolutely get your money's worth with 8fl oz. and as I said, we use them nearly every day and a little goes a long way. When I purchased all three they each had a slightly different label so there as been no confusion during those early morning, bleary-eyed showers! The MASSIVE plus for me with these products is that in addition to using sustainable, organic ingredients, neither the finished product NOR the raw ingredients are tested on animals or contain animal by-products. They are vegan. They are also gluten free and have no nasties (phosphates etc) in them. Plus it is a small American company...let's support them! Highly Recommended.

Yes, you CAN have your cake and eat it too. I felt guilty about buying this. We live on a tight budget. But I don't like to use chemicals on my skin or hair that have been shown to have health consequences, and even among the shampoos that scream "NATURAL" on the label, such products are hard to find. Of course, I also want to use shampoo that leaves my hair clean, soft and shiny. This is the only shampoo I have ever used that completely fills all of those requirements. As an added bonus, the coconut scent is sweet and pleasant, but not something that will overwhelm you (or anyone you might live or work with who is sensitive to smells.) It is such a true coconut scent, you may find yourself craving coconut milk on your cereal in the morning. : ) I no longer feel the least bit guilty about buying this shampoo (and would buy it by the gallon if I could), because in spite of the fact that it costs more than a dollar an ounce, it is so concentrated that it is quite economical. I have short hair, and wash it roughly every other day. Using a dime-sized dose of this shampoo, my first bottle lasted me nearly eight months! Obviously, if you have long hair and wash it every day, you will not get as much mileage out of one bottle as I did. But I think you should buy it anyway, because it is a genuinely wonderful shampoo (and one less dose of hormone-disrupting or carcinogenic chemicals being absorbed through your skin.)

Smells great, shampoo leaves hair feeling soft

Love the coconut smell. Love the fact that it is natural, without parabens, etc. I have used a lot of different natural brands and some no matter how much you use, they don't lather up. This is the opposite. It is amazingly concentrated, a little goes a long way. You only need a blob the size of a penny coin to start cleaning your hair.

Mi pedido llegó antes de lo esperado en excelente condiciones. Ese acondicionador es muy bueno, te deja el cabello suave y no necesitas usar tanto producto.

Verpakking is wel enorm slecht, de tekst liet al los toen de shampoo aan kwam. Haar wordt er ook erg droog van, ik raad aan om na deze shampoo een conditioner te gebruiken

Linea magnífica. I miei capelli ricci, fini e secchi, idratati, nutriti e districati in pochi minuti . Il profumo stupendo. Sa di piña colada.
