This lure is a JIG! And will produce fish of all kinds when used as such. It can also be used to cast and work back with a jigging motion. I know from experience, it will catch many types of fish including spotted sea trout, cero and spanish mackerel, lady fish, blue fish, jacks, snapper and even shark. It works best when the treble hook is replaced with a J hook. The treble hook it comes with is less than durable. The fish will eventually wear the color off the bait but for about $2 each they are a great value. I have purchased several boxes of them and you will too when you learn how to fish them.

The lures appear to be a good value. They are not a spoon and I doubt that they flutter like a spoon when trolling or retrieving. They are quite heavy/thick for their size. As such they likely are very good for jigging, as advertised. At the advice of other reviewers, I changed out the hooks to a beefer variety. The hooks do look lighter duty and are probably good for smaller fish. I am going out tomorrow, so we'll see if they catch fish.

Overall I like this lure. They are solid weight in a small package. The lure casts well and has a nice eye.The drawback on these are the hooks and possibly split rings. After catching a 2 pound bluefish the hook was straight. I will be swapping the split rings and hooks and believe this will be a nice lure once that's done.

I bought these as a cheap alternative to throw if I ran out of more expensive jigs. Just tried them on the gulf from land and immediately lost two of them to fish. I went on to catch 4-5 spanish macherel in the next two hours or so. These deinfitely get bitten but the only issue I had was that they are on the short side. The fish (with teeth) tend to bite your leader so I went to a wire leader to avoid losing the rest. Defintely would buy again but you need a strong leader given the short lenght of lure.

Surprised, caught 3 rockfishes and 1 lingcod within a hour, I originally try to catch the salmon but it’s all good to me, at least catching fish.

nice lures they seem to be well made. Would have given 5 stars but came with broken case
