I purchased this book for a class. While reading the latter, one can retain information in a short amount of time. One can stop reading at the end of one chapter, and then pick-up a few chapters later or before that chapter without feeling lost. This book was not new, and the seller had not claimed that it was... This book was great for the class I had to take but it is very dull unless you are actually interested in history.

Book was wholesome, required for a course. Had a lot of information based on his personal views rather than solely his political views, so whether or not this is a good thing is up for you to decide.
