Got guitars? Got static? Feeling under the weather? You need this!
Greetings, I’ve had this Lacidoll humidifier for over a year now, purchased Nov 2022, and it has performed flawlessly!! I have several guitars that I protect with this unit and it definitely does the trick. Dry air is horrible and this unit is a must have during the winter months not only for maintaining the humidity levels that the guitars need, but health-wise as well. I have ZERO static electricity when I keep the humidity levels at around 50%. My 3 cats love this as well because they don’t get shocked each time we give them some much needed petting! I have four acoustic guitars that hang out in my living room and when if I keep the humidity between 45 and 55% the guitars tend to hold their tuning much better than an overly dry or overly moist condition. (I have a large dehumidifier for the humid summer months as well). My overall winter comfort is wonderful! My nose doesn’t dry out and bleed, my throat doesn’t dry out. I haven’t caught any of the various sicknesses my coworkers have reported. The humidity level in my home environment is way more comfortable than my work and definitely better than the dry chilly outside air. This unit will hold an entire 5 Gallon water jug which I usually get filled for $2.30 from the reverse osmosis water dispenser at Walmart ( .46 Cents a gallon). You can use tap water but I wouldn’t recommend it. You will get mineral buildup within the unit and a white powdery residue on everything in the vicinity of the humidifier. RO water is perfect to prevent this. In the winter months and with humidity levels on this unit set at 50%, 5 gallons will last me about three to five days depending on the weather systems that roll through. Obviously those 5 gallons will last longer during humid days and shorter during very dry and cold days. When the unit runs out of water, it will shut off to protect the pump. Simply pour water in from the top of the unit (not in the tube), watch the view window so you don’t overfill it, and power it back on. It doesn’t maintain the previous settings so you’ll have to reset your humidity level, power settings (1, 2 or 3) and UV light each time. The two numbers on the left of the display will initially show the humidity level you are trying to set, then after two or three seconds show the actual humidity it’s detecting. The two numbers on the right are the ambient temperature in Celsius only. It doesn’t have the ability to switch between Celsius or Fahrenheit. I live in Northern Virginia and my house has 3500 sq ft with a finished basement, 1st and 2nd floor. The Lacidoll humidifier is located on the first floor near the highest traffic areas with a ceiling fan above it constantly set on low. The ceiling fan combined with air moving ability of my home heating/cooling system keeps the moist air distributed throughout the house pretty well. This keeps the humidity levels in the basement (usually cooler) within 5% of the first floor and with in 10-15% on the second floor. We have a small Home Medics humidifier that we use upstairs at night to help keep that 10-15% difference in check while we sleep. Cleaning the unit is super easy. I use the Lacidoll’s built in UV light constantly which kills any bacteria within the water. This allows me to go about 2-3 months before I need to break the unit down and give it a good cleaning with soap and water. With the RO water, I have very little scum and zero mineral deposits. It runs very quiet and cycles on and off as needed when it detects the humidity levels dropping a few percentage points below what I have it set at. If I set the humidity levels higher than 70%, it will work hard to get to that level as quick as possible. After a bit of time I will notice an increase in moisture on the floor around the unit. It’s not standing water, just cool and damp. Given enough time in these conditions bad things could happen to your floors or carpets so keep those humidity levels reasonable. This unit is fully capable of making a mess if set at the highest levels for extended periods of time. I’ll wrap this up with saying if I had ANYTHING bad to say about this unit, it would the few dollars it costs me to fill it up every few days. It’s a necessary cost in my opinion so I don’t mind it at all. I’m in my second winter season and I have four 5 gallon jugs I use. These four jugs last me about 6 weeks at a cost of just over $9 with tax to keep it running constantly. That works out to roughly $35 in water costs over a typical winter season. If you have your own RO unit, you’re set. The unit itself has been great, it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s well worth the money to protect my guitars and our overall health.

A Humidifier That Does It All!!
I am a novice hobbyist, raising orchids. I do not have a greenhouse;so, I converted my bedroom which has only two small windows. Many products on the internet ( humidifiers, grow lights..) I have tried with mixed success. However, there is one product Lacidoll humidifer that is such a welcomed addition that I feel compelled to "spread the word" This humidifer has many unique features. My friends are always concerned with having a constant humidity throughout their garden. This is not a problem. The power cord is about 12 inches, and the humidifier is on wheels. It can easily be moved to a central spot. It has attachments where the mist is dispersed in 4 directions. as well as a pipe extension. All aspects of my garden are reached by the humidifer. The humidity level can be raised to 60 % in 15 minutes on the lowest setting. and maintained at this level for over 20 hours. But there is a BIGGER bonus . If I raise the mist level to high, my entire orchid area (6 feet by 10 feet) is covered by a blanket of mist. ( At a lowest setting,, a steady level of humidity is maintained.) This is the first humidifier that is powerful enough to intermittently "water" my orchids and gentle enough to provide a constant level of desired humidity. Before I needed 3 humidifiers for my garden. Now I only need one. ( It covers 1200 square feet). With the pipe extension, It also spews a stream about 4 feet in the air, .I believe that misting is essential to the growth of orchids ,especially my oncidiums. This mist is made of very fine droplets that the pores of the leaves are able to absorb . I constantly am evaluating the psuedobulbs of my oncidiums. I find that if they receive one -to-two misting in addition to their regular watering, they grow savagely. There is a heat wave in Virginia ,and the orchids can easily become dehydrated.. Constant attention to the humidity level is paramount. ( When they are misted, the humidity is increased by a few percent so I would suggest a fan. I want the leaves to be dry so fungal /bacterial infection is minimized. Orchid growers are in a dilemma. The orchids flourish with high humidity , but so do its pests. But the attachments give you a myriad of options. You can control the direction and the intensity of the misting by omitting the split or by changing its length.( There are two different lengths you can insert .) You can use the pipe extension or insert the slits to have a 2,3, or 4 directional approach. If the slit is removed, the stream is more forceful. Also you can shorten or lengthen the slit. In summary, you can determine the directions as well as the strength of the water stream. I raise a variety of orchids, but I have a fondness for oncidiums. A high humidity level is recommended; however, this predisposes to fungal infections. I prophylactically spray with a fungicide. Using the Lacidoll humidifier to maintain a constant level of humidity with occasional misting is the best balance for growth with minimal risk of fungal infection If you are a serious hobbyist, this is an ideal humidifier!! The price is very reasonable when you consider that this humidifier takes the place of 3 humidifiers ( which I formerly had). THIE LACIDOLL IS A 5+ STAR HUMIDIFIER!!! PICTURE 1 SHOWS THE PENETRATING MIST=HUMIDIFER IS ON THE HIGHEST LEVEL PICTURE 2 SHOWS THE HUMIDIFIER ON THE LOWEST SETTING

Great humidifier for large space, print room, or greenhouse.
I have purchased two of these units from Lacidoll. I use these to increase the humidity when printing apparel, and for our greenhouse. The unit has a large capacity and even on it's highest setting can operate more than 24 hours with one tank. The first unit we used a tap water and had issues with mineralization but cleaning it with white vinegar made clean up super simple. However, after a couple years use the humidity sensor stopped working and so I moved this to our greenhouse and purchased the second unit for our print room. The second unit we have been using distilled water and that has been working for the last two years without issue. The multiple nozzle options make it ideal for directing the water vapor where you need it, and it can provide an immediate impact for a large room or greenhouse. It works much better and doesn't require the use of the special filters/sponges such as some evaporative humidifiers that cake up in short order.

Absolute waste of time, money, and a huger stressor.
First off, this product is just made horribly. The built in “hygrometer” is absolutely awful. It consistently reads improperly and in the evening will be 10% higher than the actual room and just flat out turn off. I had to order a replacement on this, which they sent very quickly but the replacement did the same exact thing. During the day it couldn’t keep my 250 square-foot room at above 65% relative humidity, and then in the evening it would read that the room was 80% when it was actually only 55%. I should’ve just returned it when this one started doing the same thing and got a refund. But instead I decided to continue to check on this humidifier every 45 minutes in the evening (which drove me insane). Today I come home and the humidifier is just not working at all. I do the recommended cleaning, I even tried to clean the water pump with a very diluted vinegar/water solution. Nothing works, the LED screen lights up then it makes three beeps and turns off. Unfortunately now I’m outside of Amazons return policy and if you try to contact the company that makes this humidifier the number isn’t even real and I’m sure the emails will follow suit. So now Amazon is making me pay $45 to send this back even though it’s broken, again. If you were a serious plant collector go online and YouTube how to make your own humidifier because everything that Amazon sells in humidifier department is absolute garbage and their customer service is just as bad. I used reverse osmosis water, I follow the instructions to a T, and I even kept up with maintenance and cleaning like the manual said to. This item is just cheaply made junk That’s marketed to be good for big rooms or plant collectors. Please do yourself a favor and skip buying this one.

Great product
I’ve been using this large-capacity humidifier for a while, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. The water tank is impressively big, which means I can run it through the entire night—and often an entire day—without needing to refill. The mist output is strong, consistent, and easily adjustable, making it ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, or even larger open spaces. It operates very quietly, so it never disrupts sleep or work. I also appreciate the simple design and easy-to-clean tank, which makes maintenance hassle-free. Overall, this humidifier delivers excellent performance and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve air comfort with minimal effort.

Easy and efficient
This is the best humidifier I have used. The settings allow for easy control of the power and mist output using the remote control or manually. The two wand attachments add versatility to direction of the mist flow. Filling the large tank is simple. I use the kitchen faucet hose. Once filled, it’s easy to maneuver into place due to the wheels on the base. The noise level is a moderate low hum. A full tank with the humidity level set at 40% lasts a good three to four days in winter. Cleaning is easy as all parts are very accessible. I use white vinegar and water, a soft brush and dry everything thoroughly about once a month. Added bonus - great customer service!

SOLUTION FOR DRY CLIMATE
Just moved to a much dryer climate and was looking for a whole house solution. This humidifier was the solution. High on our list of priorities was sound. This machine is not even noticeable for sound. It is so easy to use and fill. The control panel is very self explanatory. I like the options for the nozzles, but I will probably just use the single nozzle. The fins on the multi-directional are easy to put in once you realize they go in with the slanted end first to tilt the fins. EDIT: Three months in and the sound has changed. We can now hear a water trickle sound and the fan sometimes gets a high pitched whine. We will be contacting customer service to see if this is a problem they can fix. Also, definitely agree that this unit should retain your settings when powered off, it's annoying to have to reset everytime. We haven't had any issues with the humidity building up near the humidifier. It seems to put out such a nice light mist that it disperses throughout the house. We have placed it near vents to help spread the mist. Pros: Effective, Easy to move, Easy to assemble, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Remote Control Cons: The temperature display appears only in celcius (strange that there is no way I have found to change this, so I may have missed it). The display window for water level is a little dark and can be difficult to see at times.

Puts out a lot of water but lousy interface
At its core, this humidifier is a big bucket of water with a small aquarium-style pump that sits an the bottom. The pump brings the water up to the surface where four ultrasonic transducers do the job as an internal fan blows the fragmented water particles out the top. When running, it is very impressive. Nearly silent, it's like having your own fog machine in your living room. THE GOOD: Several options for customizing how the water is dispersed out the top. You can have a chimney going straight up, or at an angle, or split in several directions. At its highest setting, it really does put out a lot of water. There are three levels of intensity, and even the lowest intensity is a lot of water. Refilling it is easy - just pour in water into the top. No need to remove anything to refill it and no need to turn it off to do so. The internal relative humidity monitor works pretty well. So for example if you have a RH of 20% to start with, and you set the RH to 50% on the machine, then the machine will pump out water until the RH reaches 50%. At that point, the machine will cycle on/off to maintain a RH of 50%. THE BAD: I find the user interface very frustrating. The buttons have tiny thin dark gray/brown icons against a black background, which I find almost impossible to see or tell the difference between. I need both a flashlight and glasses to figure out which is which. They could have printed the icons in white, or made the buttons bigger or a number of things to make this easier to see. ALSO BAD: Depending on the lighting in your house, it can be very difficult to determine the water level inside. There is a narrow window to view the water level, but it usually just appears dark. So again, I need a flashlight to shine in there to see how much water is in it. It would have been very easy for the manufacturer to put in a small reservoir light - as almost all of the cheap pet fountains have. NOT TOO BAD BUT PRETTY DUMB: Fortunately, there is an option for a duty cycle - meaning you can set it to cycle on and off. But the only three options are 30 seconds on/ 30 seconds off, 60 seconds on/60 seconds off, or 90 seconds on/90 seconds off. Each one of these gives you a duty cycle of exactly 50% - which is great if that is what you actually want. But it would make more sense if the engineers could have given options such as duty cycles of 25% or 75%, thus allowing you to stretch a tank of water over a longer period of time. My main reason for purchasing a model with a big reservoir was to hopefully set it at a low output and allow it to run for several days. Since the duty cycle cannot be changed other than 50%. this means that at it's lowest output setting with the 50% cycle I can stretch a tank for a little over two days. REALLY DUMB: When it runs out of water, the machine shuts off. But guess what? It completely forgets all of your settings. The intensity, duty cycle, relative humidity, etc all have to be reset. Every single time. ALSO: Like all ultrasonic humidifiers, the water is fragmented wholesale and sent up into the air. So any mineral content in the water is now in the air and will settle down all over your house. In just a few days of use, I had a white layer of "dust" all over everything. After a couple weeks of use, there was white powder all over my furniture, counters, windows, everything. Where I live, I happen to have fairly hard water with a high mineral content. Maybe you don't, so you won't have this problem. Of course you could always put in distilled water, but that would get expensive in a hurry.
