Hands down BEST shingling gloves
These gloves are โHandsโ down the best gloves Iโve come across as a roofer of 15 years. They last through several houses, tear off and shingling. Super lightweight, and thin, but still offering protection. I just love how durable they are, all things considered. Only time i use a different pair of gloves is when i use the white version of the same brand haha

Thanks for solving work gloves for me.
These gloves are so awesome. These are the perfect work gloves. I love the balance of tactile feel and protection. The grip is good. They're perfectly thin and also thick enough to protect my hands. They last a really long time too, a pair can last me like 5 months. You might scoff at $40 for 12 pairs, but I am writing this review in 2025, and I bought the gloves in late 2022.

Great gloves ......
To me, these are almost the ultimate work glove. I've always tried to protect my hands - if one isn't distracted by dirt, grease, skin damage etc, it's easier to focus on the task - and over 3 decades I've used all types of gloves with varying degrees of satisfaction. I found the Atlas Nitrile a few years ago, and decided they were the ones for me. They do the basic job of protection while maintaining excellent 'feel' - with these gloves on I can still easily tie my bootlaces, do electrical work, pick up tiny items from a workbench, do carpentry work, metal work (not welding!), concrete work, mechanic work, and, importantly operate my touchscreen phone to take or make a call. They'll dry quickly while wearing them if I'm working with water lines etc, and give some warmth when it starts to get chilly. For real warmth in the cold I'll pull a pair of woollen gloves over them, or to add durability I'll pull on a pair of 2XL leather gloves (I buy the Atlas in XL). They don't protect when working with barbed wire, and welding spatter puts holes in them. They can get a bit hot when working in the summer sun, but any glove is. I keep a pair in every vehicle, and there is always a pair in my pocket when I go to work. To sum up - cheap, good all-round protection, surprisingly durable, excellent 'feel'. Value for money, for me they are the absolute best.

The best gloves on the market, and Iโve tried dozens
I use nitrile work gloves for pretty much every DIY job, but primarily for auto repair and landscaping. Iโve tried probably a dozen brands, including 3M and other name brands, but I keep coming back to these. I donโt know what secret sauce they use in manufacturing these, but they quite literally last twice as long as any others. And thatโs not an exaggeration. The nitrile coating takes a beating before tearing apart or coming off, the fabric holds together, and they donโt lose their elasticity. Save yourself the trial and error as I did. Just buy these at whatever the current price is; youโll get maximum wear out of them and be glad you invested in a quality product.

Perfect for gardening and duties requiring a 'feel' : UPDATE 10/30/15
I picked up a pair of these while traveling (at a truck stop no less...) on a whim. I was looking for gloves I could use for planting flowers and veggie starts, as well as general weeding. The previous gloves I've used (all leather) didn't allow me to 'feel' things the way I like to, and the rubber gloves I use for household cleaning were OK, but not breathable. In the Atlas Glove, I found the ideal compromise. The Atlas Nitrile Tough Garden Glove has a mesh back (breathable), fits comfortably on my medium to small sized hands and seems to conform to my hand versus being sloppy or stretching out. The gripping surface is slightly rough, which makes grabbing weeds or digging with my hands a breeze. I have not noticed the small barbs on some weeds piercing the glove either, and they seem extremely durable for general gardening use. I like the cuffs which are about 3" long. They can easily be rolled down, but pulled up they offer moderate protection to your wrists and a snug fit to keep dirt out of the gloves. These gloves don't keep water out if the water gets on the back on your hand; where the mesh fabric is on the glove. They do easily rise off and line dry though, and retain their shape features. I've never enjoyed using gardening gloves and almost always ended up taking my gloves off when working in the garden, to be able to 'feel' what I was doing. With the Atlas gloves... I don't want to take them off. They do a great job and I'll be buying more pairs to give to friends, family and to keep on hand as back-ups. Don't hesitate to buy these - you'll love 'em too! **NOTE: These gloves are not tough enough to withstand punctures. If you are cleaning up debris such as clippings from rose bushes, Russian olive trees (spikes)... these gloves will help you grip items, but not protect your hands from cuts. If you have big enough leather gloves to go over them, you probably would get a bit of additional protection without too much bulk, which would work OK for those types of prickly items. ----------------------------------------------- JUNE 25, 2011 - UPDATE I've used these gloves underneath a pair of thick leather gloves to clear blackberries - works like a charm! I was worried about the bulk, but there really was no issue. These gloves add to your ability to grip and give just the right extra layer of protection. I've also purchased other gloves from this maker since the first pair and keep coming back to this one because over time it molds to your hand and is 'just right' in its thickness and protection for most yard work and gardening jobs. I've also found them to be a great asset in my fishing toolbox! ---------------------------------------------- UPDATE: 10/30/15 - Still using them and disappointed to hear they have been discontinued. Buy 'em up before they are gone!!

These are the real thing
My favorite work glove, without a doubt. Have used them for years. This latest batch seems a trifle different -- they don't say "Atlas" on them -- but in other respects they're virtually identical to the older ones. All gloves are a compromise between protection and capability. These are MY kind of compromise: you can pick up a thin slippery little washer but still protect your fingers from sharp edges and nasty substances. Your fingers can still flex normally. And they're comfortable! Quibbles: even with XL size, I wish the fingers were longer, but the stretch is good. Also, I could wish the cuff was an inch or so longer to cover my wrist. But the price is right, and the gloves are generally terrific. I hope they never stop making them, because I'll never stop using them. One other note: for other purposes or different style of glove, I've found the Atlas line generally to be first-rate for quality, utility and durability. I was watching a documentary about professional salvage divers, and there was the guy working on a sunken ship -- wearing Atlas gloves!

These gloves fit my hands perfectly XXL. Iโve used them for years. Seldom do you wear through the palms or finger tips, the back usually wears out first.
