small classy tea kettle
Very attractive small tea kettle. Nice balance for pouring, and no steam burning hands because handle is not over the top. I followed instructions to allow first fill to stand for 10 minutes before washing thoroughly. There were no off tastes. Was easy to clean. Top quality product. It is perfect for people with arthritis in their hands, both because it’s small and the design of handle. Thermometer on top is a plus. And works great on my induction range.

Well made, durable product. Worth the price
I had another for 5vyrs. Then a sleepy me turned on the burner without adding water. Oooooops. Ruined the old girl. If you are a pour over coffee fan, these scome in competitive colors, they last, they are perfect for pour overs- the gooseneck spout is key!If you skim on a cheaper pot, it just won't last & Mayor contribute to metal poisoning... just be aware.

Sleek design
Packed well, heats up nicely, pours well. Handle is sturdy and does not get hot when pot is heated on gas stove. Perfect for pour over coffee or cup of tea. Beautiful, sleek! Love it!

Great overall design, but the temp gauge can get moisture *inside* and fog up (hard to read)
Overall the design is excellent, and it's great that it has a built in thermometer. The pour quality is great - it is NOT designed to pour out the entire amount of water but to give you a very smooth, consistent and controllable pour for pour-over coffee. It also works on a variety of stove tops. Mine is the plain steel design and it looks good if plain.Unfortunately the temperature gauge fogs up quite easily. I don't mean from *external* steam, but from steam that gets *into* the gauge and can't be easily wiped off or even dried out. The inside moisture easily obscures the temperature reading. I dried out the gauge as well as I could (precluding a few days of use) and used some sticky tack putty to seal the bits where I thought steam might be getting in. That seems to help, but better design (especially with the gasket) would help a lot.)Also, the lid fits too snugly (it's hard to remove; I never close it all the way, just letting it rest on the top) and there is no protection for your knuckles (you have to remember to keep the hand holding the handle well away from the body of the kettle to avoid burning your knuckles). The few complaints aside, this is great value.

Outstanding Simple Sleek Little Water Kettle
An adorable little workhorse! Perfect smaller size. Built-in thermometer assures the right temp for your beverage type. Comes with it's own trivet. It also works extremely well on my new induction cooktop. A great value, so many fun colors! I bought 3 more for gifts.

Top leaks
If you bought this kettle to make pour over coffee. The top leaks when you're trying to get the last of the water out of the kettle. Harriet reached out, offering a refund, which I accepted, then they wrote back, asking for pictures. How am I supposed to take pictures of that? I'll go through the regular return process. What a joke!

Excellent Pour Quality, Questionable Durability
This kettle has a well designed handle, neck, and shape overall. It feels of high quality, and pours excellently. The handle is also great at staying cool to the touch, even when the gas burner is a tad too high and heating it. The trivet is also a nice touch, so you have somewhere to set it while making coffee without losing heat into stone counters or burning non-stone surfaces. It's also very nice to see where you're at in the boil with the built in thermometer, however this is the fatal flaw. The thermometer is the handle to remove the lid, which fits snugly into the kettle. I have no complaint with the lid design or fit, as it is appropriately tight to not accidentally come off or fall off while pouring. With this said, the thermometer head being the handle means you're pulling on the thermometer head every time you take the lid off - one day mine simply popped off and now there is no way to remove the lid and the thermometer does not work. If it were made of another material, I could simply reattach it - since it's the thermometer head and has sheared off, I have to replace the kettle. In short, this is an excellent kettle with a fatal design flaw. It will work well for you for some time, but I would expect this isn't a single defective unit and this will be the way you end up needing to replace the kettle.I would recommend that the thermometer head sit inside a rigid protective shroud (metal) that is threaded into the lid and has the silicone to protect your hand from heat. This would take the force of removing the lid off the thermometer head and make this an extremely durable kettle in addition to its attractive aesthetic and excellent functional execution.
