Versatile, big jars
Jars are a nice size. The opening is wide so they are easy to clean. Multi functional & versatile ! These jars have been used for storage and the figs & cereal remained fresh. They are a big size for a drinking glass. So far they have been durable hopefully they will continue to be. The only negative: the jars come with three clamps to close. It would be nice if a few extra clamps were included in case one got lost. Over all very happy with these jars

Love the wide lid
Love this jar! Perfect for sourdough starter with the wide lid. Would definitely recommend. Works great from countertop to fridge.

Love it, but wrong size.
So I bought this jar with the intent to use it for sourdough Starter. It's the perfect shape (with the curved bottom and wide mouth), for sourdough, and honestly, after taking the rubber ring out and throwing it, and the metal clasps in my kitchen drawer, (you only need to set the lid on top for sourdough, not to seal it shut), it was perfect. The ONLY problem I have with this jar is it's size. It was great while my starter was, well, starting, but once it started to get bubbly and active? It's just too small, and would keep bubbling out. I go with a ratio of 200 grams starter, to 200 g Water and 200 g Flour. That gets me enough starter for making 2 loaves of bread, and on days I'm not baking bread, it gives me enough starter for breakfast. While I don't feel like 600 grams in the jar total should be too much, perhaps my starter is just extra active, because it now just keeps bubbling out of the jar. I have had to switch to a half gallon wide mouthed canning jar, which is extremely disappointing, and is harder to work with and just the wrong shape. Should Weck make a 1.5 L Tulip Jar or a 2 L Tulip Jar, I'll be on that instantly and pay whatever I'd need to pay, as it would be EVERYTHING I've ever wanted in a Sourdough Starter jar. But for now, I would say it's a perfect jar for everything except sourdough starter. :( That said, I do still really love this jar, and while I haven't really tested the rubber seal or clips, I would recommend it for any other jar related purposes.

Pricey
Excellent quality jar. Although, I did end up returning it when I came to my senses and realized I paid $20 for a jar. (I went to Dollar tree the following day and bought a similar shaped jar for $1.25)

The perfect sourdough container
I purchased this as a sourdough container, and it works perfectly. The glass lid has a raised edge that engages the edge of the container, so it does not slip off if you bump the container. The lid also comes with a rubber gasket and easy-to-use stainless steel clips if you want to firmly engage the lid on the container and keep the contents of the container perfectly sealed... which you don't want to use if you are using the container as a sourdough starter container. This jar is perfect to hold over 2 cus of starter if you need that much.

Good quality, lids identical over size range, but neck sizes vary.
I bought one 1 L Weck Tulip jar, to see what I thought of it. Bought fermenting weights at the same time. The large weights fit in it, so I bought the 2L version of the Weck Tulip jar too. They have identical lids. Once I tested them out in a fermenting project I was going to buy more. But before I had started I discovered that my fermenting weights fit the 1 L Weck jar but not the 2 L one, the neck was slightly different and it could not accommodate the weights. This was a big disappointment and I ended up returning the bottles as well as the weights. I don't know whether the 1.5 L version shares the neck size of the smaller or the larger one, but my expectation was that the neck openings for the weights would be uniform given the lids were interchangeable.

Best thing ever for sour dough
These jars are a must for sour dough. I am so glad I seen someone on YouTube using them and I bought two. I busted one and had to order a new one and I also busted lid. Buy extra and keep just in case. I could not do sour dough without them.

Viene más delgado y pesa menos que los anteriores que pedí, no se si sea por el precio.
Para conservar frutas y verdura en el refrigerador y mantenerlas por más tiempo
