As someone who dyes their hair bright red this red is great at maintaining my vibrancy without having to constantly go to the salon. It's summer time and I try not to dye my hair this time of year because being in the sun and water strips the color. I apply the product to my dry hair (while wearing gloves) and I put a shower cap over it for about 30 minutes before I hop in the shower and wash it out. I use an after color conditioner that helps seal the color in and make my hair softer and it's great. I did try the bright pink shade before and was very disappointed in the results but the red is amazing. I haven't dyed my hair in 8 months but this helps bridge the gap.

This product is amazing! I used the red dye in my brown hair, and it was amazing! The conditioner smelled so good, and made my hair so silky smooth! It also washes off your skin easily. For my first time dying my hair, it was a great experience, for me and my friend. Highly recommend if you want an easy, fast, and temporary way to dye your hair. Love this product!!!

Ordered it in red and even tho I have hair on the darker side I am surprised and LOVE the results! I’m only giving this 4 starts bc it arrived a day later than it was supposed to, the bottle is on the smaller side and I have a lot of hair so I’m worried I’m only going to get 2 maybe 3 uses out of it for the price, and as a conditioner it’s not the best. But other than those minor things would definitely recommend it!! I’ve also never left an Amazon review before but I really wanted to share my results and address items I read in other reviews. Application process: I split my hair up into the 3 sections and started at the top in case I ran out of conditioner. I was very generous on my ends and didn’t try very hard on my roots bc I know my natural hair is way too dark to expect It to take any color. I applied it on dry hair and let it sit for 1 hour (5 times the recommended time but my hair is really dark and it didn’t smell bad or was irritating so I took the risk) and rinsed it out with no shampoo then applied my own conditioner at the end. Hair loss? I feel like I lost some hair in the process, not a concerning amount but noticeable to me, and to be fair I hadn’t washed my hair in a few days so all that hair probably just came out at once. My hair is always really tangled so applying a product to dry hair and combing it out was probably really irritating to my hairs. I do have thick long hair so I can afford to lose some extra strands, but I can’t definitively say that this product made me lose hair. Does it stain? No not really! I used gloves when applying bc I read in the reviews it does stain nails a bit, and any that got on my skin washed off very easily. Didn’t leave any stains in the shower like when I usually dye my hair. Little background on my hair: I bleached the ends of my hair about 2 years ago. Since then I’ve box dyed it red once, and then after that bought developer and dye and just dyed it red/burgundy brown/violet brown at home every couple months or so (inconsistently). I haven’t dyed my hair in I wanna say about 6 months. Red fades very fast and bc I don’t bleach it when I dye it red so it never stays a visible red for a long time or without the sunlight usually. The red has faded to the brown color you see in the before pictures and any lightness has probably come from the sun. The after photos are after only 1 wash so hopefully after 2 or 3 it’ll be more visible. Overall really pleased and surprised by results. So to my fellow brunettes that want to try it I say give it a shot!!

I work at a hair salon and that makes it surprisingly hard to find time to get my hair done. My mentor gave me highlights with a red glaze on top. Anyone who colors their hair red knows how fast it fades (VERY). Got this to revamp my red in between glazes. It went above and beyond expectations. Firstly, the red was sooo vibrant and brighter than a glaze. It also lasts only a little less time than a normal glaze for me. I used to box dye my hair for almost 10 years and this is easier to apply than that. I got SO many compliments in and out of work. I got about 4 applications out of it (as you can see my hair isn’t very long but it is thick). For $23 that is a steal. It’s less mess than box dye because it is thicker. I have been beyond impressed and am about to buy another bottle. My steps: 1. put on gloves and apply on dry hair from root to ends (I did dry hair each time for more vibrancy) 2. completely saturate hair and twist on top of head 3. left on for 1 hour (you don’t have to leave it on nearly this long, I just wanted the most color for my buck!) 4. get in the shower and rinse until water is as clear as possible (it won’t be completely clear, no red dye ever will be) 5. condition with my normal conditioner (pureology hydrate sheer) not because hair is not soft after, but because i wanted to scrub it off of scalp and hair as much as possible without stripping it with shampoo Hair is so soft, smells great, and has great color after. It will stain towels, but I didn’t have an issue with bad staining on my tub or anything (if you’re careful not to splatter it and rinse what you do splatter after). 10 stars from an apprentice at a hair salon. Bro, I love this stuff. I use it every 3 washes to keep the deep red I like ( I have temporary hair dye) and this keeps it in check. I separate the black from the red and just leave it in for my whole shower. I Wash in cold water and I do Not wash out until the color is gone from the water. Yes it leaves red on my towels but I throw them in the wash it comes out. Also wiping it off your skin is easy.

Instructions not clear enough, the results may not be the same, depends of the color of your hair and the amount of product and time you put

I lost my hair color at 24, my hair one day just stopped growing out my honey brown color I've had my whole life and just started growing in white with patches of siliver. Box dye no longer was sticking to my hiar. I was damaging my hair to try and cover the white hair with no luck. After I figured out having healthy hair was far more important to me. I no longer dye my hair. I was orginally interested in Overtone but Overtone was just not in my budget and i have long hair so I looked for a cheaper knock off, more bang for my buck. I kept coming back to this product. I made the choice of red,I love red hair. When this is on my head It smells so good. I actually had towel dried hair when I applied it because It came within 24 hours of ordering product and I simply was not expecting it so soon. I did wear gloves because red is a pain in the but to remove from my fair skin. I carefully spread the product all over my hair and wrap it up for 2 hours. Rinsed my hair for a good 20 mins and was shocked by how amazing my color was after one use. In fact I have only had to use this product once so far and my hair is still red 2 months later. I don't use it as an all the time solution because I am happy with how my hair is 2 months later. I still have 90% of the product left and will reapply in the next week or so to refresh my look. I have a 14 year old and a and 8 year old who also love to switch things up and now because we are stuck at home and are all in vitual learning I have allowed them to color their hair using this brand. My daughters have dark brown hair and they ordered the blue and purple, they did not lighten their hair to apply and had some great results. Product does not dry or damage hair, it lightly conditions and leaves hair in better health than ever before. 10 out of 10 I would highly suggest this product to anyone who is looking to color but not damage their hair.

Love this! I use it to keep my red hair colour between hair appointments. I have natural dark brown hair and this even colours my roots slightly. I put it on dry hair and leave it in for 30min and the wash it out. Just use gloves as this really does make everything red!

I use this product when my red hair from the salon fades. The colour pay off is really really strong. Tbh it’s abit too strong for my liking but I use it to keep the red from fading too much. My hair is bleached so the colour shows up very bright. I would say the colour lasts about 2 weeks if you shower twice daily. However you need to know, after using this product, it will dry out your hair even with the conditioning agent in the dye. So take extra care of your hair after that. Also I used it on dirty hair and it didn’t make a difference, so no need to wash your hair before application if you have bleached hair I think. (I have black hair and bleached it once, so base colour is orangey, not yellow/white bleached hair)

This product works amazing if you have already bleached hair. My dark purple highlights on black hair were starting to fade from the salon so I used this shampoo in Red to make my highlights red. I keep it on for 20 mins and then rised. The colour turned out to be super pretty & vibrant! Leaving it in for 3 mins didn’t work for me as well as leaving it in for 20min. It is a little small considering the price though.
