Top quality manufacturers!
I’m 69 years old and have been using Air lift products since the late 1970’s. I have purchased hundreds of their suspension kits during my 30 years in the construction and mining industry. The variety of applications were to improve the stability and performance and most importantly, the safety of our vehicles and equipment! Our on highway vehicle’s, used suspension kits designed specifically for them. However, our off-highway equipment often times. were modified as necessary. it takes ingenuity and the ability to create and design, kind of like MacGyver!! Now, on to this kit. My application: 2014 Ford E350 extended body van. The install went very well! Yes, it took a little thinking on my part and creativeness. For the most part, my van is not carrying heavy weight items. I do, on occasion, tow my 25 foot travel, trailer, or my small equipment trailer with a backhoe. Or carry my CRF 250 dual sport motorcycle on a carrier on the back. After three weeks of driving with this air lift suspension kit, I removed the system yesterday from my van. Inside the airbag, is what they call a jounce bumper. It is a rather tall cone shaped solid, rubber bumper. At normal ride height, with 5 to 10 psi. The ride was rather stiff. And I realized the Jounce bumper kept bottoming out and causing a constant jarring motion, pretty well eliminating the spring action of my stock suspension! Hard on an old guys back, as you might imagine. I will be contacting airlift directly to share this with them and see what guidance they can provide! Once again, however, airlift products in my opinion, are top quality, and I highly recommend them!

Working very well. 100% improvement in handling.
Installed this kit on a 1990 TravelMaster Signature 27 foot Class-C motor home. The chassis is a Ford Econoline E-350 Custom Cab. Dulley's on the rear. This rig swayed and rolled badly. The factory 8 leaf springs were still okay but at their limit with the weight of the coach. It took me about 3 to 4 hours taking my time. The brake line support for the driver's side part did not match. The factory had the axle vent and brake line integrated into one piece. I have to fabricate my own bracket for the brake line since needed the axle vent to stay in place. Other than that it was all good. Took me about 3 1/2 hours as I did it all myself, and I did not hurry. I like to double check everything. It was a little tight getting the heat shield properly in place between the bag and exhaust pipe, but that was more due to my 60 year old hands are not a dexterous as they once were. The motor home rides like a coach rather than a U-Haul truck. Handles so much better, and the wife no longer gets car sick when sitting the back with her fury baby. The air bags lift the rear up about 2 1/4 inches when fully inflated at 98 psi. I like to ride with about 75 psi as I don't tow anything. Very firm and comfy ride. When semi-trucks blow by the rig does not feel like the big bad wolf is trying to blow me off the road. No more bone jarring jolts from the road. It was worth the effort and I highly recommend this kit to stop the rear roll and sway. Former industrial maintenance electrican/mechcanic & USMC M35A2 driver.

RV Install easiest so far
3rd set of Air Lifts I've installed. The 5k system is a bit smaller, bag wise. Raised it up to 60 psi, 3" of extra clearance. On late models, this was 2002 F350 the holes on frame aligned perfectly with top plate on outside of frame. You will need a heavy duty floor jack or bottle jacks. Jack stands for safety. This vehicle had duel tires on back. Easily installed with out removing. Took about 3 hours by myself, It helps to squeeze bags while setting into place, tricky moving it around exhaust system. Worth the time and effort to install.

Very good product, one missing part.
Only problem was that one of the two Double End Studs (Item L) was missing, and the Installer had to spend half a day trying to find one, while the Van was sitting on the Lift. Poor quality control by Air Lift. The Loadlifter 5000 performs very well on our Coachmen E-250 Motorhome. Steering is very improved with no body-roll and oversteer is gone. Some reduction of rough road noise and bounce, but may get even better, still playing with the air pressure. Overall, it is well worth the money for the safety.

The best upgrade for my RV, 2012 ford E350 chassis
This is the best upgrade so far, airbag + compressor control system. It really lifted my RV by about 2 inches, solved the problem of rear scratching the drive way. With the air pressure set at 90 Psi, the ride is so nice, almost like driving my Lexus Rx450h (maybe not so good but tremendous improvement) The airbags are considered cheap, less than 300 dollars for a pair. I did the install myself, it took about two days to learn and then succeed. There is no leak at all. perfect product. I think the control system is a must have together with the airbags. You can monitor the pressure, adjust them as well. I like the dual pass, not the remove control version. I have a gauge under the dashboard that I can adjust the pressure for individual airbag. So fun.

I have a 2003 Ford E 350 Mini Winnie RV. The rear springs sagged and had excessive roll in turns,
The air bags by Air Lift support up to 5000 lbs and were ideal for this situation. The internal jounce bumper inside the bags in a great feature and absorbs shock. I air them up individually, this controls sway. I only gave them 4 stars only because I haven't had them on long enough to test durability. The only dislike is the bags come with only one U clamp on each side. I would feel better if it had two. However the bracket does wedge itself into shackles on each side. If you have a heavy vehicle this is a great solution. I also called the company. They also have good costumer service. I also bought the 72000 wireless on board Air Lift air-compressor, which I highly recommend. No trying to find a gas station with air that works. Easy to check pressures and raise of lower as needed. I give this product a 5 star. The only this like is the awkward remote. I did have some issue shortly after install and costumer service was very helpful and my issue was easily resolved. Update: several years later, everything still working good. It turns out to be a great investment. upgrade to 5 stars.

So far, it works. Directions are just OK. Product itself looks sturdy enough.
The directions say 2hr installation time. I'm a mobile tire repair man and it took me all afternoon. Jacking up the truck, removing the tires, crawling under and crawling out again to find the right tools etc. took a lot of work. However I must say that the device was easy to assemble and fit my 98 f-350 cutaway box van. The package arrived and all the pieces were just thrown in a box together. Only the small pieces were wrapped and the wrapping was punctured. Luckily, nothing was damaged or missing. The only real work I had to do aside from jacking up the truck was removing some rusty and hard to reach bolts and drilling one hole. Other than that it is all just nuts and bolts. The air bags are not tricky to use, just fill them up with air like a tire. How much air? Well, I guess it's just trial and error. The directions are worth reading for assembly purposes but not all inclusive as to the installation on your vehicle. I did have to cut the lower bracket with a hacksaw to fit around the brake line / rear diff breather tube thing. No big deal. I have not driven with them yet. However, I filled them with air and they lifted the partially loaded truck with ease.

Ready for a good grunt? Then have at it!
This was my third installation of an Air Lift product (air bags) and the second one which was a complete bear. This one - product # 88138 - was not only recommended by Amazon, but also by Air Bag tech support. After installing it however, I wonder if any of the two were correct. Here is why: I have a step van made by Utilimaster (FedEx type), built on a Ford E-350 Econoline chassis, and this is where your troubles will start. In order to pin down the exact correct air-bags, I researched multiple web-sites, ahead of ordering, with hopes to make sure that what I'm ordering fits. For a regular Econoline all this may not be necessary, but it's good to be aware nonetheless. I was told these types of vans sit on a regular one-ton E-350 van chassis, and that is how I ordered the parts. Amazon's usually good info even claimed: "This fits your Ford Econoline E-350 van." So did the guy at Air Lift. Only after the fact, but after receiving the parts, did I conduct a search according to the VIN. And finally I got the proper result. My van is built on an E-350 superduty chassis, which is somewhat different from others, AND is not listed under van options with Amazon (only superduty TRUCKS are listed). Now, for the rest of you hopefuls, get ready to abandon any idea of installing this in the "2 HOURS" so many others boasted about. Here is why: Don't even think about 'pre-assmbling' this stuff, because if you have a van with similar physical attributes like mine, you WILL be assembling ALL parts, right up to the 90º air valve, UNDER your vehicle. In ideal conditions the assembled parts will slip 'right in' between the axle and the frame, but we don't live in an ideal world, we have to deal with Ford and the geniuses at Air Lift. In my photo you will see, that the upper part to which the airbag is connected, must slip UNDER a sort of sub-frame, bolted to the chassis in question. That can simply not be done when the parts have been preassembled, because the parts (#07463 & #07464)need to be slipped into position at a slight angle, and by the time the long vertical bolt, sticking out of the airbag lines up with the hole in the frame, the outside upper edge is too far out from the frame already mentioned. So off you go, trying to figure out how to do it otherwise. If you have a frame like mine, you'll be doing some interesting drilling. Eventually, with 101º of desert pleasantness and hoards of ants 'loving you', you get a little tired of this challenge. And you'll find, that these guys at Air Lift are just a bit less genius than you wish. The lower part of the assembly - the one that 'fits' onto the axle, part # 03982 - requires that one remove the Axle Vent Tube Bolt arrangement, a sort of junction where various brake parts come together (see corresponding photo of Fig. 18). No, you can't loosen the part and 'twist' it to make the lower bracket fit into place, not on my rig. I completely removed the and re-attachet the Vent Tube Bolt only, since solid metal brake-lines have a way of not cooperating with bending or twisting. That made me think: Couldn't these guys just cut out another notch to make the lower bracket fit AROUND this bolt arrangement? One last stroke of genius I noticed, is how the air line from my passenger side airbag has been forgotten to be addressed adequately. There is every imaginable detail paid to how one must arrange the valves to a vehicles frame and where to run lines to keep from getting abraded, not to ever kink or bend the lines too tightly. In fact, there is even a comment in the instructions NOT TO run such lines within 6 INCHES of a hot surface (I imagine the exhaust pipe qualifies for that), but no attention has been given to the fact that where the air line enters the bag, IS closer than six inches to the tailpipe (see photo). There is also no mention that a piece of rubbery hose could be intended to cover the air line in that crucial area (after you've inserted the line into the airbag it's a little late). Yeah, the whole thing CAN be done by an amateur. Do it on a cool day, and if you can, do it in a place where you have a lift and can stand up under the vehicle (my belly muscles are still tight from all that back and forth under the van). And have a buddy help, that would speed things up a bit too. Product quality "installed" probably deserves five stars, but the hassles and missing information on certain parts does not. I took the van out for a spin at 30 lb. pressure (I have front bags too) and it handled very improved, so no regrets there. Now I'm ready to sell the dang thing. Sorry, photos won't load, I'll try later.

Works well to stabilize and level unit while pulling a 19.5 ft boat
Used on a 2000 c class Ford 4500 motorhome. Not that easy to install as described due to exhaust location.
